Presenting the premise of a cinematic space epic, the sprawling action RPG put players on a galaxy-saving quest across the cosmos, making alien friends and difficult plot-altering decisions along the way. If you were wondering why the Portal was offline today... well, yeah... HDD number 4 died this night. It meanwhile got replaced and backups were put in place.
If the components keep dying at this pace, we will have a brand new server in less than 2 months.

…Attention, Pilots!
A major expansion is approaching fast (scheduled for end of October). It will feature a new player ship, the
Colonial Sentinel, a medium fighter class ship, which will impress with some sophisticated electronic warfare capabilities and a special shield, featuring twice as much capacity as the standard model. You will also be able to use a plethora of new weapons, devices and consumables to fool, distract, and defeat enemies in new ways.
All-new factory space stations add further gameplay mechanics to the game experience, by offering special on-the-fly services, like refining and converting resources, upgrading ship capabilities or minor repair jobs. Furthermore, you will even be able to pay the Okkar Homeworld a visit. Along your journey, you will also encounter new story characters, who will offer individual questlines.
More details about the content and the pricing will follow soon.

…Hello,
Thanks for all your continued feedback – we’ve been listening carefully and have continued to make a number of improvements. In this patch we’re introducing an overhauled save system, which makes managing saves between game modes much easier.
This patch is available now on PC and PS4. Read on for full patch notes!
New save system
- You will now be presented with 5 save-game slots (each of which can be used for any game mode). Your existing saves will be mapped into these slots
- Selecting an empty slot will start a new game, allowing you to then pick which game mode to play from the mode select menu
- There are now two sub-slots for each save-game – one for automatic saves and one for manual saves.
- Automatic saves occur when exiting your ship, dying, purchasing a Freighter or claiming a base
- Manual saves occur when interacting with a save point (these can be built from the build menu), or a beacon found on

PC control scheme
In this patch, we’ve added a new tethered ship control scheme for PC mouse & keyboard players. This new option will be active by default, and can be toggled back to the original control scheme via the General Options menu.
Other changes and improvements
- Allowed economy Scanner to be used from the Quick Menu to locate an outpost
- Improved prices trade outposts offer for trade

Howdy!
Accolade complete: this webserver has killed its 3rd HDD
![]()
Thanks to the people that gave me a notice earlier today via email and moddb.
The damaged HDD meanwhile is replaced and backups seem to be working. It will take some time for the server to rebuild the cache for all the pages so it will be a bit slow in the next few hours.
If any chars got banned due to the failed CF updates I will unban tomorrow in the morning after the daily updates ran through.

Thanks for continuing to share your feedback and reporting issues to us – we’ve been working hard on our next patch which is coming to both PS4 and PC today! Here’s a look at the fixes and changes you can expect:
