Game Player's magazine was an American publication which ran from 1989 through 1992 and aimed to cover all forms of electronic gaming, ranging from coin-op arcade games to console titles to PC and Amiga releases. The January 1991 issue featured a Wing Commander cover story (look closely!) which was a whopping five pages long. The following month, the magazine named Wing Commander the action game of the year... just slightly losing out to Railroad Tycoon for the top honors. The final scan is from the April 1991 issue, which featured an early mention of Wing Commander II.

    << ERROR………>>

Listen up, miscreants, because Jester is back and ready to unload straight to your skull.

He’s the current top contender for “Inept Outlaw of the Year.” Seriously, gang, everyone should study what this trog did to learn exactly what not to do on your next raid. Besides the idiocy of attacking a shipment that many, many, many people had a vested interest in protecting, Captain Bane also failed to knock out the hauler’s comm system before it could broadcast a distress signal.

To make matters worse, he didn’t even have the necessary numbers to get the job done. There’s no sadder sound

Prepare to face the most infamous Starfleet test! The Kobayashi Maru, the “original no-win scenario,” comes to Star Trek Online as a limited-time challenge for your captains. How long can you hold out against ambushing enemy ships? Can you keep the Kobayashi Maru intact while facing down waves of hostile attackers and space hazards? What would Kirk do? The Kobayashi Maru event will come in two forms: timed and untimed. In each case, you will fight to keep the freighter intact while destroying successive rounds of enemies who will become more and more dangerous as the simulation continues. The longer you last, the greater your rewards! Once everyone on your team is defeated at the same time – or when the timer
