    Silver Arrows Command, Planet Manhattan, New York System


    This is Vice-Admiral Sam Thomas, Chief Officer of the Silver Arrows. We received you call for capital ships and the SAC is dispatching its flagship, the Discovery, to Omega-3 for this assignment on Friday, April 02 - {EDIT}UTC 1900 (SVR 2100, EDT 1500, CDT 1400{/EDIT}). It currently needs stronger weapons to be fully operationnal but should be ready for the assignment. Alpha Wing will also be dispatched to fly alongside the Discovery to offer better support to all capital ships taking part in the 'Operation Impact'.

  • What do YOU think about SWAT-Portal 2.0?

    Quite different and mostly WHITE at first sight, i like it more each day that goes by....


    The white look gives it a less obscure and depressive look... Its refreshing, dynamic, good looking and potentially better for the community to gather, play games and talk about SWAT and the supported games !


    I gotta say also that I didn't really noticed the Donation button in the previous forum but since it's straight in our faces up there ^, it makes me wanna donate everytime I open the page ! I'll do it for real as soon as OP change the langague of the PayPal page to englsih so i may know what info I need to type in the form.


    Show you support by giving a little something too ppl ! many small amounts (like only 5 euros but you may give more ^^) will help OP pay the bills for us to continue enjoying this community and the CF mod !

    So if I take your words correctly :


    OP don't want help for the Mod itself right now but mostly for side stuff (news, events, portal, forum, moddb, wiki, etc....) If ppl are good at doing the small stuff in the eyes of the Admin, they might hope for a little task or two in the big CF mod.


    Is that it OP ?


    Btw, i've taken responsability to moderate CF's ModDB page. Any one else willing to do a little something for the other projects ????

    I didn't meant to take them every step of the way, dear OP, just to start them off. Once that is done we can hope that they are intelligent enough and will continue by themselves... Its the way education/job works : you got someone who teach you the basics and once its done you get yourself in the world and continue lerning everyday until you retire. Its sad but playing the teacher for a while might ease to get the help you want...


    I understand you couldn't hope to teach someone everything you know, cause you must have modded for more than a decade now !

    ouch thats becoming a little harsh here boys, calm down a bit. You guys may have to talk by PM a bit to settel this in private ... Obviously there is a misunderstanding between you two cause you're both saying the opposite of the other....


    And sorry for you bullwinkle but OP is right about the multiple help requests... Not a day passes without OP asking for help from the community. Althoug OP, when you say "IF you are that clever to fix what i am not able to fix (i wonder what that might be) then DO IT", its your job to point helpers the way to start from. You are the admin, you need to guide those who want to help you they cannot just start from nothing.


    Really guys, calm a bit and talk in pm. Possibly Bullwinkle will help you for some stuff, OP. Just work together gentlemen, we don't need two personnalities fighting, we need to competent guys working along each other !

    Lets says for a month you leave the "office" stuff (portal, wiki, modding) and come play the game ??? You wanted to animate the RP when you released 1.81 why not go forward with that in April ??? That would change your routine. Clans are ready to start RP and from what i can read ppl complain mainly about the lack of RP in game right now, not about the forum or the portal of the WIki. The 1.81 may not be as perfect and stable as 1.7 but its quite good now so i guess it can survive as it is for a month or two.


    Come PLAY m8 !!! Come enjoy YOUR creation.There is no point in painting without looking at the result once its done ! No point in making a sandwich if you don't eat it !!!... you see my point here ?


    do like the majority of the CF players do : take a break from RL and launch your ship !

    To help the community, I propose EMs do more events out of Europe classic schedule to get ppl outside of europe playing and participating in the community games. I already proposed to organize races on Canada/USA convenient schedule. I couldn't get it started yet cause i had RL issues but i'm planning for a start in April as i'll get more free time to deal with it.


    North America is a big pool of players and the EMs should keep in mind that 8PM server time is great for europe but not convenient for students or workers cause it falls in the middle of the afternoon for ET, CT, MT and PT timezones.


    So if there are north/south-americans players who'd like to host events in America's time, it would be nice to manifest yourselves ! As i said i cannot be a regular EM right now but i want to help increase player pool with players from the New Continent.





    Also, what's going on about SPs who we're supposed to guide the server RP? Is it gonna start soon ? Sry i missed the last two general meetings and i got a bit detached from what's going... Anyway, the large-scale RP should start ASAP ! If help is needed with that, i can help. I know i'm an unofficial clan leader so i don't fit in OP's original idea for SP (a non-leader server-clan member) but i can help get the story rolling !


    The ASF/CSF should get on the way too even if the stats system is not working yet.


    And please ppl, start playing your role !!! I come across pirates every day and trhey don't tax me with my valuable cargo.... I see ppl trading BMGs in front of the cops.... How long have i not seen a police officer post a bounty on a pirate's head and a merc hunting to get the reward ??? I know its nice to chat with friends and let time pass by, but the truce* is off ppl ! We are no longer in the prepation phase ! How come cops didn't block the BMG route between NL to Durham the first day it was discovered ??? It wouldn't have made it so easy to get huge money that quickly. In only 3 months ppl already have 10 chars all equipped with Inner Core weps ! I wouldn't call for another char wipe cause ppl will all want to kill me and leave but i certainly hope for police to start doing their job and pirates to start taxing money for Gortyn or Crete children !

    *The unofficial truce established when CF1.81 was released so ppl could take time to create their chars before server RP begins. And it wasn't even supposed to be a truce between clans... only that server RP was waiting to start !

    Normal, when a member of a group goes on a mission, the other members are considred to be wingmen thus saying there are 3 players (3 lives) to take on the mission. I never tried but i guess if one member goes down then his life doesn't count anymroe and he'll not be rewarded for the mission his m8s complete. So i guess reward is given to those who are still "alive" if the missions succeeds. I think that "lives" feature was meant so ppl may not be rewarded after they died. That's only a logical theory, i never verified this.


    And grouping appears to me like it was meant to be a coop enhancer feature for missions in MP gaming and not just a chat lobby like many use it for :)

    yeah would be great to fly these ships. ASF and CSF are already factions so they could each own a base where the ships are sold to their own allies, plus a server rule like michael suggested and there you go.


    I know your busy OP right now but may be do it for 1.9 :) or a patch of 1.81 if its not too big to fit for the launcher's updates.
