  • MSINET.Ocx missing dependencies win7x64

    I had the same thing happen to me when I installed CF on Win7 (64 bit) yesterday. All I did was start the whole installation process again from the start but I right clicked and selected "run as admin" at every stage. Work without a hitch then.

  • Logitech Mouse Problem

    I am getting some problems with my Logitech mouse. I have just upgraded to Win7 and while in CF the buttons (which are mapped to key strokes) are not being recognised.


    The buttons I can set to generic "mouse 3/4/5 button" will work at that stage but there are 3 buttons that cannot be set this way and I cannot get to be recognised in game.


    I did briefly try Vista and had a similar problem but I did not stay with Vista long enough to fully investigate the problem.

  • SP question

    No you have not missed anything, it is a long flight to get to the solor rift.


    The solar rift takes you to ALtair where the Coalition have there territory. You'll need the bribe if you want them not to shoot at you.

  • Congrats + a question

    If you are doing missions, make sure that you are selling the pods you collect at a prison station as they are worth $30-150k (depending on rank). Also, find the best missions as these can pay nearly $500k each.

  • Crossfire 1.8 Release

    Radu - No your Laggs, Destroyer & Train have all been deleted. Everyone is starting from scratch all over again.


    FLMM 1.31 is recommended during the install (which probably means the other versions will make your computer blow up :) )

    Lucy: It has always been a great pleasure to meet you on the server and read what you have written on the forums. CF was a brighter place with you in it. You will be remembered fondly.

    Sorry to hear you are stepping down, Huor. Your efforts on behalf of the smooth running of CF were always appreciated.


    I now await the appearance of SP_Pirate_Wench with a mixture of curiosity and terror :D

  • New point of view of RP

    To stop a player from switching out of their train may improve your RP but it will destroy theirs. Stuck in a ship that does not have the weaponry to fight back or the agility to avoid you, they just get shot to bits. Even with a couple of VHF as escort, if the pirate targets the train, the train gets destroyed. On longer runs where there are alternative routes they may stand a chance but short runs without alternatives, this would suck.


    I think a rule like this would make matters worse. Traders see a pirate log on then they are likely to stop trading rather than take the chance of being caught in an RP situation in their train that they cannot get out of. So rather than a short RP you will get none at all.


    I am in favour of trying things that will improve the RP, I just do not think that this will.
