discovery is again getting sacked from wikipedia freelancer page by jappalang. geeez! well, he made some respectful arguments; discovery should better meet the specs if they wanna stay.

also, it seems Starport, a new fl community website praised by creators of War-Torn mod is trying to advertise on wikipedia freelancer page too, unsuccessfully. well, fan info is not really for those pages, so i agree with guys deleting it.

cf stays still, cause i wasn't forcing too much info on that page and made it according to the specs after a fight with jappalang. happy me.

2. what kind of rp r u gonna take?
3. r u gonna ask for serverclan membership?
4. r u interested into parting with asf/csf rp model?
5. how much r u familiar with cf?
6. do u know any clans or ppl from the swat community?
7. how long do u plan staying (had to ask, sorry :D)?

yep, it's better not to rush, but to make it well, sound and complete.

btw, op, i am thinking about the use of 7zip in cf standalone installation package i am building... so, if u wish, try it with 7zip, compression might b better. just don't compress images and sounds too badly; we can always use mod db as a primary download source, so leave them fresh.

note: standalone cf installation package is in alpha version now, and i have just tested it. i will b making new topic regarding my work in 1.8 development area soon enough, to post my progress and any issues.

crysis, ur instructions r not correct, m8. there is no zip file for cf installation, and flmm should ALWAYS b used as an activator of mod, cause of the script it needs to run.

lictor, did u follow the installation instructions correctly?
did u receive any errors during installation and activation of mod?
which operating system r u using?

m8, what u have here is a hardware problem, and it happens to a very few users, whose comp configs r not stabile. thus, ur problem is most probably mobo oriented.

do you have any issues in other games?

i dealt with a few occurrences of this issue till now, so i will try to help u, if u didnt lose interest still (sorry for being offline and unable to respond till now).

u r doing something wrong... u should reinstall everything as stated in the manual.

for ur cf issues u should use this. just follow the instructions to the end.

i already made one in support forum. but for the sake of the rest of moderators in this subforum, i wasn't really in the mood to force my changes before announcing me.

i will b cleaning these pointless threads in technical problems subforum anytime soon, just as i did clean support forum some time ago.

no manual registrations of msinet or installation of vb6 r needed. and plz, don't use compatibility settings.

u just have to start everything using 'run as administrator' from icon context menu. that includes both flmm, cf launcher and package installations. most of these things r good after 1st run with this option. in case of any errors, just use the option again. simple.

the problem in vista (with many software) is that admin accounts r not really admin accounts cause they don't have all required admin rights by default.

therefore, vista sux, and ppl should not use it for a few more years.

note: this manual is only for installation problems. for fl connection problems with vista, plz refer to vista troubleshooting guide.

notex2: vista sux, plz uninstall and install xp. tnx for thinking about supporters' peace of mind.

before u proceed:

1. plz check if the mod package u downloaded is exactly 205,377,700 bytes.
2. plz check if mod activated correctly in flmm.

now:

1. if the stated config is for ur laptop, state ur configuration on desktop computer plz.
2. if it has nvidia hardware too and similar driver version: graphic driver is old. plz, download a new one. and install it on the desktop computer then try again.
3. further, plz state if laptop graphic driver came with laptop or u installed it (it may b tricky to update that one).
4. decide which computer u wanna to troubleshoot 1st. after we make cf work on that one, we'll deal with the other too.

at last, but not the least, plz state which antivirus/antispy/firewall solution u r using.
