    I always like your refreshing questions m8^^.


    The basic drive for me to continue playing is to become better at PvP, trying to learn new ways of fighting, adapting and countering.


    I also enjoy being part of this community. I spend alot of time in my cockpit chating with other players (I know I should fight more^^).


    But what I enjoy most is seeing new players thrive on the server and the gratefulness of the people you help out.

    The new ships are mostly found in the new systems. Closest to NY would be Oasis selling a fine example of CF ships.


    I encourage you to join the multiplayer server. Most of your questions can be answered in an instant by the people online.

  • Cheating in MP

    Its really sad and very much against the spirit if people have to use cheats in order to have fun. However, in my whole time on CF I have met 1 cheater (that captain flash dude with his 6 admin-gun-mounted Ragnarok). If there were other people using some sort of faster turning cheat it appearantly wasnt enough to make me notice or take me down yet.


    All Im hoping is that whatever cheat may be possible is fixed in 1.8 so the accusations stop once and for all.


    When we had that topic about half a year ago many things were said allready. Including that there is just no such thing as a cheater playing a COMMUNITY game for longer than 3 months (Except ofc he is a real lameass highly overrating net reputation). I cant imagine a clan paying monthly server rent is resorting to cheats, just never seen it.


    Being cop harvested me some really good fights with those people who are often accused as cheater. One example is my still good rl m8 Dr.Doom who I'm fighting frequently. When he sits on my second computer I can be absolutely sure there is no cheat involved as I have setup the PC and know all the exceptions of file access in the firewall. Still he outturns me like hell most of the time we pvp against each other. Now if I would not be sitting next to him double-checking his every move I would probably get the very quick idea of some cheats being involved (I still kill him half of the time). It IS possible to stay 90% of a pvp behind an enemy even with the exact same ship (rare use of a NOT killed engine comes in handy).


    That being said it is very hard to judge about fair play if one cant check. Some people tend to overrate alot of situations whereas other people are used to playing hardcore arcarde games against Asians.


    It definatly is a good thing to wake up the community each and every month about looking out for cheater aswell as bugs and report them asap. Perhaps it really would be a better idea tho if someone who actually knows whats been talked about here from the technical side would talk to OP about it so he can get it fixed. The ability to change ship stats can be considered a "bug/hole in the (cheat detect) system" which abused would clearly be cheating.


    Whats bad is people using the fact of the unclear cheat situation on CF in order to support their "lobby" by using any means neccessary to drive the competition of the server. Talking about the overrated net reputation^^.


    PS.: No flaming intended. Just my honest belief :)

  • Enough is enough

    I know of some clan who will dish out instant WAR to any group which an intruder may be a member of.


    What Im seeing here is a clan dealing with that issue at hand by opening their system because appearantly "WAR" wont be much of an threat.


    Only thing I dont understand now is people asking where the problem is. SZ atleast has the guts to announce such things on the forums.
