Just to sum it up for me... you are leaving UAC because you dont want to hear comments from people 'affiliated' with UAC about your girlfriend? Or did your opinion change to 'I leave UAC because of Lance'?

I know the feeling when you meet someone and realize he doesnt walk your line at all. But why would that be a reason to be impolite or even more 'leave a clan'. I dont want to counter with another prejudice, but how would you call people who 'hate/dont like' other people 'for what they are'?

If you stand to your person, being proud of what you have achieved (even if there maybe interruptions from time to time like now) you dont have to account for that to anybody aswell as you should be able to ignore any false statements simply knowing better.

First PC game, weeee. Thats some time ago.
Friend of my father owned one of the first 286x back then and I got to play Dos-PacMan every weekend Must have been around ~1989 when the german wall fell^^ (no real computers available in the eastern part before that..)
A year later when my father bought himself a pc aswell, I used to play Blockout (the best 3d Tetris solution yet never to be topped!) and Pizza (crazy ass jumpn run where you had to play a pizza boy delivering a single pizza to the top of a manager's building evading dynamite rabbits and whatsoever^^).

Azadur you seem like the kind of guy who has enjoyed Ultima Online playing on the chaos side once a time. Am I right?

Slayer its only natural to straighten things out after this post and as far as I remember you have always been a guy who was keeping it straight with others. Its hard to not feel offended on a post flaming the hell out of your clan. I feel you. If any of these acusations are true it only shows to me that your leader simply wasnt capable of straighten things out before they started to boil.

sounds like all or nothing to me.. Well if you need that much privileges in order to continue your work on the serverside you may go ahead. I still find that very disturbing. Anyhow good luck from my side too.

Just thinking out load here.. took the community 15 days to find 2 codes. Assuming the community doesnt stop searching with the current rate and the total amount of 12 code to be found its going to take 75 more days to finish 1.8?^^ I wouldnt have a prob with that knowing good things take a while but to me it sounds like the beta code thingy needs a little speed-up (maybe by advertising the event via a console line on the server each ~60min like the other messages quoting some serverrules and where to reach OP, etc).

I see your point about you want to have good beta tester who actually see things. But I kind of think about this event more like a lucky hunt. Taking into account that you need to check 1000+ items its less likely the sweeper kind of guy who finds the code and more likely the guy who were lucky with the code right in front of his nose.

Personally I'll be checking the whole uni one more time but as I said many people lost their interest allready. Doing it the sweeping way takes roughly 10-15 hours. Stretching the search time over more than one day reduces your chance of finding the code by another 50% as the code can be in either of the missing half (universe).

If that is the way it is I can live with it. I just dont think its such a good idea to 'waste' those people's time who are very attached and in love to/with the server. When I sweep I dont have time for RP, helping new guys, advertising for CF or rebuilding my clan. Not to mention a real life. *doh*

Since the event started a lot of people including me were re-exploring the space in order to find whatever is 'unusual'. So far a lot of stuff has been found but seeing everything 'unusual' which got reported is still there I wonder about the chances of success in general.
Those people determined and encouraged to find one of the codes in the beginning have lost their interest over frustration now. Exploring the entire space and afterwards realizing everything you sent in still exists is quite a downer.

There are plenty of ways to encourage each and everyone again to search out for a code. For example it would really help if its going to be announced that (or when) a new code is being put in. That way everybody has the same chance of finding the one single code out there in universe. Right now you never know if the code has allready been found and with that fact in the back of your head its hard to keep continueing sweeping entire CF again and again.
Another way would be to put in 2 codes at the same time to increase everyones chances of finding.
Another way would be to restrict the search for everyone on lets say dockable stations and storage depots. dunno. Right now it could be everywhere and I mean everywhere^^.
eg.: suns, planets (their docking ring, their mooring fixture), stations, storage depots, gas miner, asteroid miner, tradelanes, jumpholes/jumpgates, wrecks, non-dockable NPC stations like Nomad/DK and lets not forget about the onMouseOver tooltip on any of the above mentioned objects including various clouds, nebulas and asteroid fields as tolltip popup on the navmap. There could also be completly new items placed in space which could have any shape, any description and any purpose. It might aswell be a tiny small scrolling text like the serverrules only hidden deep in some nebula..
What I want to say is.. pls restrict the search to a few less spots to search for then 'everything' or consider one of the 2 other ways of encouraging people. If it was me I would use all 3 ways in order to ensure nobody loosing his fun in the game over this whole event where nobody gets a notice and by now most people are not even sure if there is a code existing.

Just a few suggestions to get this event rolling again^^.

Me, speaking as that train driver being protected I would like to make a statement either.
On the day the above mentioned incidents happened the SoS smuggle route was open. From my point of view the SoS-day as I like to call it, almost is an unofficial server event where it simply comes down to lawful vs unlawful. I kind of enjoy it each time remembering there still is some action going on here. Especcially this time it was quite thrilling with Kermit's BS in the neck^^. Too bad he was all alone in the beginning tho.
There is one thing I dont really understand.. why do you adress SMG with this? As far as I remember only Picard and Kyron was present. Picard was unloading my train while Kyron added a gun to the whole story. All that happened on the basis of natural mutual understanding but anybody knows that its still the best price that mercs follow. The Police are free to make any contract with any merc even on an SoS day. If they dont do that they cant really be angry about the mercs participating on the other side (which also naturally shares the loots).
I dont think there is any need to further get into it. I gladly accept your challenge to hunt me for every single BMG in the future and hope you dont take yesterday's RP personal. I would have paid any fine any day but SoS is really something different.

To finish all that I dont see SMG having anything to do with this (im not adressing the bmg in fighter issue here) and think they should become a serverclan. Being that they will most likely come up with their RP consistency in a written form.

@OP: The case was closed long before you got the post. I also dont know why and to whom you are forced to justify its authenticity. I doubt it was the whole server. When you were given this post by CA it was meant to underline INTERNAL problems of IOC. You still think it was the right decision to post it in public when the involved people regreted it already? I wont be commenting on this any longer.

I just hope we can play together in friendship and understanding again.

I wonder where you get the idea it would have something to with me or IOC. As far as Im concerned (and I think IOC sees it the same) Crossfire is the most lovable server ever to be seen for Freelancer. I didnt get much into the DD thing so i cant comment on that either.

I wasnt talking about unfair treatment. Except the overall menacing appearance you do a very fine job! I dont want to shovel examples now but as you mentioned SMG allready.. puting Burro's post into public cut the active server population by half. Most of the people involved into it didnt leave. Alot of other who had to read through all that stuff left realizing they dont want to be part of it.

I of course didnt miss the broad hint in point 2 ^^. I hope I can set your mind at ease saying IOC is actively recruiting right now. That process is going to be a long time dedication tho, because the requirments need to be met in order to become a member didnt change. Imagine IOC running around the server asking every newb to join That probably wont be good for anyone.

Another point to add which dont put me in conflict with the need of using a lot of humor to wrap in would be:

6) Server events seem to be less frequent. Random put events which differ from the regular ones might be a good idea too. When i was starting to play here there was no event i could think about with the slightest chance of success. Meaning a lot of effort is going to be put into keeping active players but not getting new ones.

Is it some kind of a code with more than 1 digit or really just the numbers "1-12" hidden in some objects? What really helps would be a hint on how to make sure this is the code/number and not just a random typo.

Im not very sure how to read this.. Does that mean DD is going to be kicked, banned or having their clantag stolen for invading a clansys?. If thats true then there is only one reason for it: The invaded clansys was the admin's. Talking about sperating roles...
None of these 3 options above have anything to do with RP but are pure admin decisions.
