  • Flash in Forum Signature

    Most signatures take ages to load even without flash.
    I wonder why people are still using imageshack which is known to be the worst image host ever^^.
    By default I stop picture load on these forums here at ~50%. I dont get all sig pics but atleast I get them in time.


    Also you can tell if OP has posted in a thread even before its done loading indicated by the 125+ pics loading bar on my browser^^.

    Also I find it confusing you respond with "I" when talking about CFPD here.


    Ive been offline for quite a while so pls dont expect i know all of the current status. I was just wondering wether a new rule isnt introduced to the actual serverrules (as often seen before e.g. suicide rule). Is that a way to make it harder for new ppl to get along with those people on the server enforcing the rules?

    a ping of 220 is not even close to the average ping of all players to the server.
    my best guess is ~80 but ofc cant be sure at all.
    how does your fluct look like? do you have a stable ping of 220 or does it jump pretty often? any packet loss?

    the rule is pretty clear. wonder why people try to "understand" the rule.

    Anyhow I would agree on Kermit & Hour BUT this requires a change in the written rules which is most likely not going to happen until 1.8.


    Its always a back and forth.. Some (authorities) say we shall not interpret the rules, some (authorities) are complaining that we "Now actually do take the rules serious". It is about impossible to play active while not breaking one of the lot contradictory rules here.

    Worst thing of all is TRF hasnt been given an RP reason for not being able to move out of Regalis but rather an OOC reason. No chance to bring that one to the (sirius-) bank and no chance to argue either^^.

    Pretty much all been said allready. Even if I would want to cheat I wouldnt have slightest idea where to start.
    Only one last thing.. I have seen several cheater in several games and all of them have something in common: They never play a game longer than 3 months. Why? Because cheating is boring and no challenge.
    Those players, commited to the community, the server and their clans, playing most of their spare time here would have been long gone if they were using cheats (and probably are).

    What a big fuzz. The only one I saw cheating yet was Skycaptain/Flash with his 6 Railgun mounted Ragnarok. Everyone else in my career on CF the past 7 months who I pvped with was flying legit ships (not ragnarok^^) and did not use cheats to improve ability or weapon accuracy. If that would have been the case I would have surely noticed it. Of course, there is no game without cheaters, but seriously: I have only seen one yet. I dont see particular groups of player cheating or anything like that. Of course I could say everyone i dont have a chance against in PVP is a cheater but that wouldnt make me any different. Those guys I have less chance in pvp is cfpd/bg as im not trained in fighting them.


    Laser Im sorry to see you leaving over this. I myself have left many games because cheaters were taking the upper hand. That was games where ever 10th player was a cheater and NO solution in sight. Here you might have a ratio of 1 cheat in 50 players and a solution is absolutely in sight for 1.8.


    All YOU, Laser, do here is take the server down with you. Post as many dislike preferably in font size 40 all over the forum to make sure new people stay away and old people start getting bored of this. If you want to do something about the phantom you created: Stay and wait for 1.8.

    With the current setting you are encouraged to engage diplomatic relations with the Serverclans. It doesnt matter if you are a Freelancer or in a clan. There is always room for agreements. :)

    I live in Berlin and looked it up. Its about 40miles from berlin.
    However I am sure you will find enough parking space in Krausnick for whatever you haul there (if its a truckload of custodian whiskey pass by my place hehe).

    - First of all you need a programm able to handle *.zip files^^.
    - WinRAR @ www.rarlab.com , WinZIP @ www.winzip.com or 7-zip @ www.7-zip.org are the most popular choices *doh^^*
    - now extract the content of the zip file into a random, empty directory anywhere on your harddisc.
    - Checkout the extracted files and you will find 2 directorys called "DATA" and "EXE". Pick them and copy/move them into your Freelancer directory as shown in the pictore below (usually C:\program files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer). If windows asks wether it should replace existing files and folders click 'Yes/Overwrite, Always'.

    - Now start the new Freelancer.exe (or via Mod Manager or via Account Manager).
    - Select Single Player
    - Join the server as if you would have clicked Multi Player.


    It doesnt work.. what could have gone wrong?
    - You extracted the files into your Freelancer Mod Manager directory
    - You extracted the files directly into the the Freelancer directory but forgot to check 'overwrite all'
    - You tempered with the Mod Manager during the Installation process of this temp patch.



    Yet I have a few questions @ OP. In the current dayset we have Dom Kavash in X which is pretty exciting of course but bad to be kept up for more than 3 days^^. Will there be a dynamic solution soon? :)
    Does this temp patch contain the ~400 or so files which usually are downloaded via the launcher at the first start? Im asking for those people who are reinstalling right now because the patch didnt work for some reason.
