    I may have an idea for a "variant" of the Top-Gun Event.


    The principle would be that each participant is given a specific target at the start,
    in a way that each player has a target but is also targeted. When a target is killed,
    the "dead" player gives out his own target to the "killer", so he can proceed to next
    target... and so long, until remains one survivor :)

    Not sure if this is clear LOL,
    but idea came out from an old "real life" RP game.


    Advantages: you are sure there is no "group" forming against anyone (even if already specified in regular top-gun),
    and everyone must survey everyone else (requires some more strategy?)

  • Trading versus Smuggling

    Hummm, I disagree Crysis.


    Not being in a clan does not necessarily mean you are a (RPless) freelancer...
    There are players out there that have mounted licenses and play their RP without being in a clan...
    That is true they are able to eventually switch license, but that's their freedom.


    It would be a big loss I think to reserve RP only to clans (this is a RP server after all, no?)


    Personally, as long as having the correct licence mounted when going for a specific action (fine,
    tax, bounty hunting, smuggling) then it is fine with me...

    Harrassment, disrespect, and (pityfull) blackmail will get you nowhere...
    and this is certainly not this behavior that will help out OP, this mod, nor
    this community.


    Jeez... If I were OP I certainly would not bother trying working
    on that "lag kit" to please someone not showing anything to deserve
    crap.


    Move on in your life with something else if this mod is
    so terrible to you.

  • Severe violation of server rules

    As far as I know, on that big wall outside Manhattan - you may have noticed -
    is laying a resume of main server rules that anyone launching CF has agreed.


    By paying a little attention, you may notice a line clearly stating: No PvP in NY.


    This may also be found on Server Rules:


    No PvP in New York


    Players are not allowed to attack other players in the New York system
    under any circumstances. This is to give new players a chance to learn
    the game in relative safety. If you are caught attacking other players
    in this area you will be kicked and possibly banned from the server.



    Someone deciding to break server rules surely does not mean you may do so as well.



    {LP}Shock-N-Force{X}: If there is no GR on line to report violations, you can always take of screenshot
    for evidence and report it on Swat. Complaining such or such action is not sanctioned does not imply you
    may break rules as well as "retaliation"... This can only lead to chaos and anarchy.

    A hail stating intentions before entering is always appreciated though :)


    We will watch for illegal activities within our system of course, but if you can refrain from piracy/smuggling
    while in Omega-3 then there is no problem with passing through.

  • 2010 - A year in review

    A very busy year indeed, and hopefully very successfull to your eyes OP!


    With many newcomers in the community this year, Crossfire mod is still among
    the best mods, despite the "aging" of the original Freelancer. Continuous
    improvements, an active community, a fair play and respect among players, is
    the "recipie" to that success I believe.


    May it never end!
