Maybe a suggestion to integrate a mod somehow?
This is a mod that allows us to have our ship's durability live next to our weapons & also shows the Targets durability on partsI tried this on Vanilla the other day, and it helped me scan VHF's a lot easier and plan my attack better.......same for the enemy
It's called the Freelancer Widescreen HUD Mod
-
Class 10 weapons a super powerful and late game are amazing, as you said; the Coalition Gattling is very powerful and is a shield ender (even with upgrades) it needs a balance
the War'syr propulsor is also quite nasty, it's power hungry, no lie, but can end a VHF in 2 shots with the CGC
I would say if any weapons need a buff (and for those that can barely survive Dom space) are the Nomad weapons, Nomads in Mplayer are still very difficult to kill but the loot is worth it, it is a shame they don't hit like they once used to in Vanilla -
OK Now I'm pissed
This DAMN game is BROKEN
It is your product and it is broken in oh so many ways.
YOU SHOULD FIX IT.
I went way back and did the extra story 3 TIMES. It NEVER works.
I went to Alsace, I followed every single damn instruction and went to every waypoint .
When I get back back there is never a conversation with Juni and King to take up the next mission.
AND NONE OF YOU GIVE A DAMN.
I gave up the extra lost fleet entirely and went on with the game.
What the hell is it with just wasting hours of time just floating long distances in the middle of nothing, no game, no entertainment, nothing but just watching some mediocre graphics for hours go by with no end in sight.
I tried to go through Menton 4 times, right in the middle, the waypont (mission objective) just disappears and won't come back.
None of you ever give any good advice at all.
Just some humhah platitudes of nonsense and childish phrases (just do it again and again and again).
I have come to the conclusion none of you actually did any programming or coding or editing yourselves at all.
I am now sure that all this is just you guys getting some perverse pleasure out of thinking about other fools just wasting their life looking at a monitor of crap.
ok first of all, CALM DOWN!
You realise SWAt spends a lot of time either implementing fixed, patches or updating bits and gets round to everything when they can. I too have run into this bug and am patiently awaiting any form of major update to the Lost fleet jobs.let me give you some Veterans advice mate, Make a Manual save ANY TIME YOU LAND it means should the code Glitch you have a Man. Save to go back to which has a 95.555R% chance to fix it.
Please don't be that guy and make it out OP-R8R isn't trying to work on it, like he said it's a 10GB modification with each file having well over 330,000 lines of code; what you need to understand is that it's like christmas-lights with coding, one light goes out, sometimes they all go out; it's the way coding and tech works.
LD is - make Manual saves at any dockable point it will fix issues better than insulting the Super-Admin
-
IF you have lost your Freelancer I.D. there is no recovery as far as I am aware of
but if SWAT_OP-R8R knows of a way I would be interested to know.
However as stated when you first click "Multiplayer" there is a screen that appears with ones I.D. code which does say "COPY THIS" to be blunt
-
Have you been using the Auto-Save to rerun the game sometimes?
-
UPDATE: Utopia mission (kill 3 Ancients the go to Omega 3) - Devon System - the bases now are visible SWAT_OP-R8R all know graphical bugs I have experience are currently Fixed
-
The new launcher is crip man, not as much of a mess as it used to be; shaders working flawlessly & everything so far working as expected - I'm currently on the Utopia mission (Which I had graphical issues with before (Invisible Elements on ALLY side) so I'll letcha know how we look.
Outer Dyson Sphere fixed and no "Clipping" elements now
-
I can't find the option so I'll just ask here.
I like to play in windowed non-borderless mode (so with border) so I can move the window.
How do I do that, after the latest update?
It's in the launcher, click the Cog in the bottom right Before launching there is a tick-box for Windoed

that does not seem to be just the generators on the screenshots. The other Dyson textures too. But it looks differently for me.
Going to investigate.
If it helps, this was the same Pre-patch for the recent changes
-
Don't know if anyone has taken the time to look at this but has anyone found the Interon Battleship Hardpoint slots?
I haven't raised the funds to get it and the weapons to do this experiment yet.Did see also in another post someone found a way to make the cargo hold bigger???

Been a while since I've gotten this far in the game, prior to the previous updates there are still some graphical problems during the SP game please see below - this is when assaulting the Nomad Home world on Mission 13 - Had this issue last time (look at the Power Generators and the surrounding Walls) SWAT_OP-R8R have you experienced this yourself?
Noman Homeworld.png -
What Swat said, found this out the hard way, also when you get to the mission where you use the Cannis Hypergate - SAVE ON THE STATION!
I got caught in the prongs of the Hypergate and had to do several reloads from that save to reset the RNG (the auto-save is super buggy on this & will damage the game)
-
you should not share your device ID or Product ID in public. Here its ok i gues i consider this as healthy enviroment but do not do that on other sites.
I have a scrambler on that was a one-use I.D.
-
I also experienced freezes but no stutter fps is fine. Think i solved little problems by updating the SP first then MP then run it at windowed mode and its working fine now its just ocasionall freezes at MP (i was thinking its server related lag) i dont try SP tho. Well with diferent computers diferent problems i use 2K resolution so graphic card do all heavy lifting CPU usage is almost zero even GPU usage is at 20% top. On 1080p CPU do most of the job. If you ask me problem is in shaders it self maybe reverting to older versions that worked will help.
Singleplayer here - it's running flawlessly on Windowed mode.
I'm yet to test M-PLAYER BUT WILL TES THIS -
Since the recent Patch the Windowed mode has Unlocked full FPS and has also made Preset Graphics 1 better it's now not as blinding, No laggy issues yet but need to get back the GMG base and further into the story - should previous problems persist I will update here
-
