Ok, so they were twin barreled and then went back to single barrel, without changing the damage back? that sucks, they used to have same damage as Kusari turret. Glad I'm using civilian turrets then.

@Ajay I'm sure they are twin barreled in 2.0, they used to have 3600 damage in 1.9, I believe they were modified to be twin barreled

Kusari BS Turrets. Has two barrels for x2 the damage (stats reflect single projectile)
same for liberty, bretonia, rheinland and civilian, and I believe coalition too
liberty:
1600 hull, 850 shield (refire rate 2.0)
1500 range, 1222 speedbretonia:
1000 hull, 1200 shield (refire rate 2.0)
1300 range, 1222 speedkusari:
1700 hull, 800 shield (refire rate 2.0)
2500 range, 1222 speedcivilian:
1200 hull, 467 shield (refire rate 3.03)
2444 range, 1222 speedrheinland:
2400 hull, 1000 shield (refire rate 3.03)
800 range, 1222 speedcoalition:
1800 hull, 700 shield (refire rate 2.0)
2700 range, 1200 speed -
Osiris and Virginia are both good choices. They are both CD resistant and have a good shape for navigating asteroid fields.
If you are not sure which one you need, here's a comparison of their strong points.
Battleships:
- Best for use against fighters (Inner Core, aliens)
- Small size, good in asteroid field
- Maneuvers faster than dreadnoughtsDreadnoughts
- Best for use against capital ships (X-3043, ASF/CSF)
- More firepower: two extra torpedos compared to battleships
- More armor than battleshipsBy the way, it is very advisable to install Armor class 10 on both Battleship and Dreadnought, this will increase their hull to 700.000 and 900.000 respectively.
Also, the turrets from Crossfire docks are very good against fighters (high refire rate and decent range) and decent against battleships
There are also more specialized turrets with either more range (at the cost of refire rate) or more damage (at the cost of range)
By the way, the wiki is not up to date on battleship turrets, I would just visit the places that sell turrets to be sure. -
thanks a lot

but if the Cayman is easy to hit, in pvp wouldn't that make it easy for the opponent to hit you
Only if you are right in front of him, moving in a straight line or shooting at him head on.Remember this when you fly a Cayman:
- Get behind your opponent and stay there, Cayman is agile enough to do that against most ships.
- When your opponent is gunning at you, concentrate on evasive maneuvers and don't fly straight.
- Never attack a Chimera or Iguana head-on, instead circle them and hit them when they can't hit you.
- Missiles are in the advantage of the most agile ship. You can get in a superior position to fire them and more agility means more chance to evade missiles fired at you. -
@DeePSiLVeR11 The Cayman is definitely easy to hit. It was designed for PvP, with the focus on agility, and not small size.
They gave it big engines and flight control surfaces for maximum agility.
It is probably the best ship for PvP, and probably the worst for missions. (try Saracen instead)
In missions you won't be utilising your agility 80% of the time, and then it is only about how big your ship is.
Also, you probably spend more time visiting prisons than collecting pods.I have tried Inner Core in a Cayman, but got pwned every time. Same for Ancient hunt.

Against npcs, the most useful ship is the one that survives longest or is hardest to hit.
For PvP, you need a ship that can keep up with a fast opponent.Iguana and Chimera are my 2 favourites for missions/hunts because they are hard to hit. They are also useful in PvP.
Iguana is slightly harder to hit, but Chimera has extra cd and cd/torp mounts.
For Inner Core hunts and Altair missions I use Iguana, in Sirius I use Chimera. For PvP I can also recommend Cayman or Saracen for agility.
Ships with 6 level 10 guns can be useful in hunt events for their firepower but only if you have a wingman to cover your back. Most of these ships tend to get hit easily because they are big and less agile than most other vhfs.
-
Also, Pink Eagle and Black Eagle can not lose wings unlike the original eagle (and they look better too, imo)
You can actually get a black eagle from custodian after mission 1 if you have the credits. Just be careful not to trigger any bugs. -
now that you mention it, looks like they forgot to increase prices for some vanilla ships xD
750k for a titan is cheap, some missions pay more than that.
