There is good news and bad news with the release date of this highly anticipated FPS, bad news release is scheduled for 2007 good news is that inevitably the price of the X Box 360 will drop after Christmas, Also there was news this week that the PS3s release date has been set back again and the possibility that the Blu ray technology might be removed which will take away the sony consoles multimedia advantage.

I picked up freelancer as a part used game when I bought my pc last year. did the single player campaign and open singleplayer then tried a few mods and servers then tried CF and been here since

IE works fine never had a problem with downloads using it

fair points but i was hoping to avoid the win/loss aspect by just getting everyone together for a few fights and a bit of fun but lets see how things go and we can think about further scenarios later on and maybe make them more in depth like the ASF could have "obtained" some secret station blueprints and are attempting to "escape" with them, There are lots of interesting commodities and items we could use.

We could even work out a system where for example say one side gets experimental bio weapons and if they win the mission scenario they could earn a "joker" card that can be played and add say 3 kills to a system battle score to reflect the tactical advantage of that item.

Hopefully such a system if created would add whole new dimensions to the RP instead of just system battles, but this would need a greater level of cooperation between everyone involved.

This server needs RP it is vital for the health of our clans and the community in general. every clan here has the problem of getting members online and active sooner or later people wont play and be active if there is nothing to do exploring and npc hunting soon becomes boring, so that leaves RP both in a general sense and with the ASF/CSF but the problem seems to be a lack of cooperation and sometimes we all get a little to excited and say or do something which upsets other people and what is causing these arguments is simple its a lack of understanding (hence the addition to my sig recently) and we fail to see topics from the other persons perspective. We have all proved and seen this community is capable of great things so lets give each other a chance

Will the ASF attempt to rescue these prisoners and prevent the CSF from gleaning valuable tactical information from these POWs? or will they decided to just blow the freighter to hell to end the risk of what these captured men may reveal?

After all the arguing over the RP system why don't we try this for a bit of fun its not a system battle so it wouldn't be a loss or win for either side and might just set the tone for things to come we could work together to organise more activities based around the ASF/CSF RP and make it more interesting

For this scenario to be played out all it needs is a few ships no rules except server rules and for ppl to enjoy the hunt and and the fighting

The licence thing is a slight problem for the people that do not read or conduct any research about the server that they are playing on server clans have to use their licence mount for the ASF/CSF license but clans roles are on the forum so ppl should read the forums and get the frequent news
