    And I never take screenies during pvp, so all of the combat shots are against npc's which doesn't communicate the full flavor of Crossfire. But you asked for it, so here we go....

  • BD clan disbanded

    Okay I'm going to go out on a limb here. And don't take this as the official viewpoint of the IOC. It's just my opinion.
    It seems to me that the level of clan and freelancer activity on the server has been dropping ever since the ASF VS CSF Roleplay got underway. I don't know why, but it seems that many pilots have gotten so caught up in ASF-CSF roleplay related issues that they have stopped logging on to avoid combat, or have forgotten about most other CF activities.


    In the past few weeks we have seen:
    1) OP banning people from NY, presumably because people were going there to hide from RP related pvp (ban was later recinded)
    2) incessant sniping about who's lagging and who's not because some pilots are impossible to kill. This wouldn't be such a big issue if it didn't have such consequences for those of us in ASF or CSF clans.
    3) The dearth of attendance at server events. I tihnk interest in imagining, plotting, and carrying out ASF V CSF campaigns has overshadowed interest in weekly events; among those of us who are still left.


    Like I said, it's just an opinion, and quite possibly wrong. So I'd like to hear everyone else's feedback. If it is found that the ASF CSF RP is in fact bad for overall attendance and participation on the server, I suggest we put it to bed for a while.

    Please change your sig! It's not Netscape compatible. Every time I load a thread with one of your posts in it, my browser crashes as soon as I scroll down to your sig file. I asked you by email to change it a couple of weeks ago. you did and I appreciated it. Now the old one is back and I can't read all the forums without my browser crashing. Please revise this.

    It is amazing how many people seem to think that they can get the answer they want if they just keep asking the questiion. OP has said that this feature can't be changed by modding the game. Vampirette doesn't like that ansswer so she goes on asking, using the same illogic I hear at work all the time.

    Okay Supercars. I like you, so don't take this the wrong way, but...well, you might want to think this through a bit more.
    Like Op said, if you go back and play Starlancer, you will find that the Coalition is the "bad guys". The SL storyline begins with a Coalition sneak attack on a diplomatic mission.


    And a word about the name of your clan. Again, I'm just trying to help here. It sounds rather, um....commercial and conventional. Kind of like a supermarket chain. I don't know about you, but when I go online, I'm not looking to join the ranks of a bunch of virtual grocers.
    What will the clan motto be? "We have the freshest peaches!" ? That's going to be a tough sell when it comes time to recruit new members. :))

  • Some questions

    The Armoured Transport was bugged in previous version. It's okay now, but the APC is better. It mounts level 10 guns and forward-firiing turrets. You can defend yourself in DK territory a lot better in and APC. Many of us have killed DK gunships in them. And they still hold 450 units of cargo. 8)

  • Weekly Events and Rules

    Centaurian makes a good point. All the events are at the same time; 8pm GMT. That's 3pm Central Time US. If it's a workday, I'm not at home. If it's a weekend, SOTII / (IOC)Dark_angel is online playing. (he participates in some of these, btw). but for some of us, these events are not scheduled at a reasonable hour.


    Why not stagger the times and have one at 8pm GMT, the next at 2am GMT, the next at 8am GMT and the next at 12pm GMT.
    I don't see why all the events on a global server hosting an international community should happen at the same time everyday. Let's find a some kind of rotation so that players from other time zones get a taste of the action.
