Sounds like good therapy mate! 8)

Well said, both of you. I've only been here since 1.5; about a year and a half I think. But I agree it's a great server. Crossfire is the best mod I've seen hands down.
And much of the kvetching on the forum is done by newbies or people who aren't a part of the playing community anymore.
But there is a lot of complaining about lag and other issues that comes from current members, myself included. So we could all stand to take a step back and reevaluate this free sandbox we all play in and remember that somebody has to put lots of time and effort into keeping it in order.
A little patience, a little mutual respect would do us all good.

speaking of lag, there' s quite a bit this evening. I was leading Fallen Gigajump on a bit of a chase through Bretonia when the server pooped out on us. Of course he's impossible to hit, so it's just as well. 8)

You can also reduce the variouis eye candy settings in your options menu; background stars, and planet atmospheres for instance; to relieve this problem.
SOTIII [aka (IOC)Dark_Angel] has found that adjusting these settings causes npc's and other players to move much more smootly across the screen; hence they become easier targets.
So as Centaurian says, there are many variables besides server lag, ping, and connection speed that affect how you view targets.

Oooooo that's a tough question. But, seeing as how I have never seen Dracula or any of his ilk draped over the neck of a burro, I'd have to guess they don't have much of an appetite for asses.
Ergo, the pleasure would be all his. 8)

Sounds like a good idea. Send us a postcard.

Those are all good points OP. Part of the fun of FL & Crossfire is exploration. One of the most enjoyable things I ever did in FL was to fly a mission from each base. I've often thought it would be cool to do that in Crossfire. It would take MONTHS, but it would be fun.

Of course now, as a clan member, that's not possible for me, but for the new Freelancers, exploring the entire universe (especially for those who come straight to MP without having played vanilla FL) it's still a possiblity, and should be encouraged.

Getting kicked from the server when you launch with newly purchased cargo is a problem that is not related to what version of FLMM you're using. It happened to me when I first started playing 1.7.
It's related to the dynamic universe. For whatever reason, when you launch, you are not getting a complete download of the dynamic universe update. If you get kicked, exit the game completely restart the launcher, and log on again. When you restart the launcher, the dynamic universe update will be downloaded before you log on to the server. That should clear it up.
    Good luck m8

    Hello Sinspawn.
I'm not a server expert, but it sounds like what you're trying to setup is a LAN. And Crossfire will not run on a LAN. The best you can do is connect both your pc's to the global server so you can log on at the same time. That will just depend on how good your internet connection is.
