Well, forst you should choose a roleplay, which I see you have been thinking about. I'm Lance Commander Gust of the Shadow Lancers. Pirate life its not easy, but it is one of the most funny RPs, everyone hates u and everyone loves u. And when u are not in the mood for taxing they even complain that they are not being taxed...
More reasons to think about it:
The LostProphets is a pirate clan, we are quite active, we have more than 20 players at CF !!!
If u like piracy:
- Taxing: U just stop pilots, ask them for a, lets say 5 or 10 million tax to let them go.... better if u do that with unprotected freighters. U can tax: traders, smugglers, police, military and freelancers...
- Shooting police on sight. Yes... if police comes near u, like DC or CFPD, u just shoot them unmercifully
- Gang up with ur LP m8, a lot of good ppl. And go for a little hunting: BGs, CFPDs, IOCs and DC are our preferred targets.
- Brake military blockades! Sometimes they try to block some smugglering routes, so u gang up to smugglers, freelancer, other pirates, and u just go for a little cleaning/desinfection of B(u)Gs on the target system...
- U have a home at Daedalus, a very calm and pleasant system on th outskirts of Sirius.
- U may join the Altair Branch of LP and control Sovetskaya skies.
- As a LP, U will belong to the CSF RP federation... u will protect the good ppl from sirius, and engange any ASF ships nearby (IOC, CFPD... )
- Uppon registration u wil receive a villa at planet Gortyn, Daedalus, plus equipment expenses.
- Lost of friends also. LP is a very warm clan...

The main Police clans are DC and CFPD.

The BG are military.

If you like Freelancing, but also want the group benefits of clan membership, consider the IOC. The Independent Operators Consortium is a loose-knit group of Freelancers designed to provide mutual assistance to maximize trade opportunities, facilitate exploration, and of course, enjoy server roleplay.

To be eligible for the affililate program, one
1) Must have reached level 35 or higher.
2) Cannot be a member of an existing clan.
3) Must have explored all Liberty territory.
4) Must wear pink tutu for 3 full days. (Okay, I made that one up)

To be eligible for full IOC membership, a Freelancer must have:
Level 50 or higher
500 kills or pvp experience
must have successfully navigated Hiruga
Cannot be a member of an existing clan (duh!)
Must have a VHF figher-equipped character (Level 10 guns)
Must show evidence of a visit to Altair
Must register on the IOC and SWAT forums
Must commit to at least 5 hours of cockpit time/wk
Must donate at least 20 Euros to SWAT portal (void if underrage)
Must provide (IOC)Centaurian_Alpha with Nicole Simpson's home address or phone number (Okay I made that one up too. He'll settle for Paris Hilton)

As IOC Lev said we are a freelancer clan. We are a friendly, joking group. We have several top aces so getting your a** kicked around is not likely except during training lol. they are good fighters and they search for new members atm
