Just retrieved the Nomad power cell, got back to the Omichron system, von Clausen appears, game locks up so solid I have to quit Windows. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this, or experienced this?

Try delete the Autosave and start from the last game save...aswell if u played the original Freelancer on ur PC...u might have Autosave there aswell....find file and delete or start the game and delete within it

I tried to check both savegames but I am confused a bit.
The normal one is from 2023 labeld NewSP. You probably did send the wrong one.
And the other is an autosave in the middle of a Nomad attack. I used that one to see if the story would progess. Killed the nomads, went to Toledo, got the cutscene, launched, killed 2 nomad battleships, landed on toledo again, next cutscene, launched and headed to omicron minor.
No crash.

Have you tried to change the shader option?
These missions are from vanilla FL and we're not edited at all, therefore error must be something else.
Maybe eventviewer logs might help.
