What? No! I haven't even discovered it yet! There ought to be a rule against renting certain systems... Like, people should be disallowed to rent such systems like X-3043, or NY, or any other important systems. Purian Lake apparently has the best ships!
Now to be able to explore I need to be in a clan and demand permission? COME ON!

NY, X-3043 and Sol are non-rentable (i believe both Arenas as well). You could rent a system like Death Valley, but you wouldn't have a base there, so not much use.
If you look at the systems rented, you see that everyone wants a system with a certain edge. No use in renting a dead-end system if there is nothing to get from there.
If you are not in a clan, you could ask permission to enter. Not demand! It is Fallen system, so you have no right to be there if they do not want you there. For instance, when they are training or such. Same thing with other rented systems, like Custodian. The renters pay money to be able to rent that system, and from that moment on they can make the rules in there, as long as they do not interfere with the server rules.
So if you want to have a warblade (there are 2 more blades, not in Purian Lake
) or a seraffine, just ask a Fallen for permission. Perhaps you will have to pay some fine to be able to enter their system and dock at Vienna (that is, without Fallen firing at you), but that shouldn't be that high. -
