Lag kick + Lag restart

server had 15 restarts today...
adjust the ping and

the lag?

suggestion:
max ping: not more than 150
max lag: not more than 25

max ping 25...i never get on server...usually my ping is 125-140,,but

to=day its been ...well tonite its been in the 300...dont know why

i have the same problem my ping is usually 30-40 but its been

sky high this last week or so

No way, your ping 30-40---what could I say about myself where my

normal ping on any server I see at global server is from 190 to 300:::::(

that I was kicked several times last night, and my ping was in the normal 110 - 125 that it

is.

With my BB booster I doubt Im causing any lag.

is there something we players can do about

this like shutdown other programs

like firewalls virusscanners ore maybe there are

ppl who are listen to music

protocol and most sure i wont do it, but i think you arent analizing the packets in order to

know specific response delay from a player, but to get a count of the total traffic of that

player so at a rate less that what would be a 56k modem for a while means kick (which ever

the reason, real line speed for fl, slow or busy comp), sounds nice enought,

congratulations. This a real War on Lag.

ok so i have probably got this wrong so if someone has a low connection speed they use

less packets of information and if some one is docked and afk they use less packets of

information. so if some one is doin pvp would they use far more packets of information and

would the person they are fighting? also if ppl with a lower connection speed use less do

ppl with high connection speed cause more? and also on another thread op said he didn't

like cap ships because they cause lag, is this because they use more or less packets of

information?

No, Darkstar. Slower connections don't have a reduced need for packets.

They have a reduced capacity to move those packets (and that's why they are considered

"slow").

I have a basic understanding of packet switching and would be happy to

explain what I can. But it's far too dull and long-winded to discuss here. Contact me in

I will say this though. "Slower" connections will cause some lag

for sure. There's just no getting around that. How much the server is slowed down is hard

to say.

Logicaly his method is supposed to reduse lag, but maybe because of the more people now, lag

is even more

there are some progs which can clear your ram from time to time. if this is usefull for

you...

i like it when i created that awsome event with the help of jib and i

think nitro. it was bad when some people with baad laaaag came on and ruined it even thou it

turnd out to be a success
