Just to say that i have the same problem with the new launcher: cflauncher stop working

Same problem here. After Launcher updates, Launcher crash every time 
Edit: i mean, launcher did first time updated and then he dont work no more. Now he do nothing except to crash.
very weird
also dont try to do changes on files yourself
let utrack find a solution so we can test it with your client before we do a patch for all users

As i know of now you can ignore this message and click Launch MP - this button works; though i'm looking what's gone wrong. very random problem
Same problem here. Reinstalling Freelancer, mod and FLMM1.3, no result.

looks to me like a FLMM error this file should actually be installed during the flmm mod activation
Up early while wife sleeps. Did launcher update yesterday as instructed, worked great. Saw this thread, launched, first got window saying CFlauncher no longer operating than launcher window opened and started. Loaded as normal, MP button active. I clicked settings button and window closed. Thought it was starting and I had clicked the MP button instead. nothing happened so launched launcher again. No error window, launcher window opened, updated, MP button active, clicked MP button, game launched, no problems. Work as advertised. PM sent to Utrack.

i just checked all options
you didnt by any chance choose fxaa or smaa?
if so that would crash the launcher (i have unfortunatly uploaded the option file for CF2.0)
will correct that now
(update procedure: let the launcher get the updates... close the launcher... try again)
full reinstalling FL, mod , FLMM and i connect to server. i happy! next step i close game, exit in desktop. Again launch game and see this picture:

I reinstalled a fresh CF on a fresh WinXP install. Double click on the icon and... nothing happens. No error. Freelancer.exe not in process list. Nothing.
No firewall.
No antivirus.
XP has all updates and .NET framework.
Partially solved the problem: every time before starting the game folder the EXE from C: \ Program Files \ Freelancer Mod Manager \ mods \ Crossfire1.9 copy in C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Games \ Freelantser files are replaced. I again happy! 
just for me to understand it... where do you start Freelancer?
