Its nothing personal but i give this thread a negative rating.
Ads for a mod which is developed by people which tried to damage our community... not a good idea.

Despite the old disputes its a good work that was done to bring this mod up. Considering that most of them started from scratch, but not all

What if the mod isn't trying to distrupt your mod and actually just wanted to make something for them selfs to be proud of?

If it's like this ok, but here is not the place to be discuss for other mod

Vardek Yes the mod is good its fun its aa place where no one can judge you no matter what . I have played this mod and its Fun !

When someone leaves you to live in his house .. it's not nice to brag neighbor's house .. so this would be the idea. I agree that others work and put their brains to work and is very good, as we all benefit. But I think it is an elementary rule of common sense to respect what you have received from the work of others.It would be more to say but this is. Who wants to understand, understand.

Well, Vardek and Son_of_Angmar... I can understand that you are a bit irritated about my reaction.
I have my reasons.

That mod was created by a person which got banned from this community for breaking lots of rules and disturbing this community several times since then.
My motivation to support a mod of a guy which lied, cheated and used fake accounts to get back on my server to distrub the players there does tend towards 0. Unforgotten are also his fake accounts on the forum... especially "Avarice" and an alternate incarnation of "Daywalker" who both openly discredited our work here, especially our mod. Also comments against the members of our community were not the nicest ones.
Keeping this in mind and considering the fact that right with the release of the Shadow of Fear mod somebody started have fun attacking our Crossfire server (coincidence?) my reaction is relative calm.

About the mod and its quality I did not even judge. I know that mod pretty well... good enough to know whats in it and where the ideas for that came from.
A judgement from my side wouldnt be that positive... so i simply dont say anything at all about it. Thats at least a better treatment than what we received.

For me the Shadow of Fear mod and any discussion about it is a pure waste of time.
Ive seen many similar mods before... all of them meanwhile long forgotten.
With max 3 players online in the release week (-> http://flserver.de/getgraph_si…8-83f09f1c&timeframe=week) which usually is the best (since everybody wants to see how the mod is) the tendancy is almost certain.

However, Im drifting off topic (partly).
Daywalker can do whatever he wants with his mod... as long he does it far away from the members of our community.
If his work is good enough then he will get an active server... if not then its just another dead FL project. Time will judge about this issue.

As you might see this is not just a personal problem from my side.
If somebody would have tried to damage your work then you very likely would think similar about such an issue.
I hope you can understand that.

SWAT_OP-R8R: you'r right again, because the people are the one who can judge, if they like the mod they will play it, if not... how you already say, will be another dead project.
So yes, you's totaly right, because if don't have people to play it it don't have any sense to be talking about somthing that is forgoten.

tbh its still in its open beta but much word put into it there is over 3000 hours of work produced into this mod and I didn't do anything wrong but you should understand I stay loyal to my clan as I did once to this server for over 6 years

In regards of advertisement, wouldnt it be more wise to remove those posts related to what has been posted here on your board (or move it to internal section)?

Maybe I really should shock you... telling you what truely happened.
PX happened.. or better to say a few PX decided that they are more imporant than all other CF players. They decided that they stand high above the rules, can treat others like shit and can do everything they want careless of the consequences. Your friend Daywalker was reason for more than 3 months of troubles where more than half of the CF server population left.
A few PX started to cheat, to harrass other players and drive them off the server. Roleplay was abused to take revenge on other players and destroy their clans.
Every day I received new complaints from players... every day I tried to resolve the situation... every following day the shit started again.
The CF community lost many good people during that time... many friends.

When the situation escalated I gave PX the option either to follow the rules or to face the consequences.
Daywalker decided that the server rules do not apply to him and his friends so the PX clan was banned from CF.
That was what happened.
I did neccessary admin decision, throwing out the rule breakers to rescue the server.

You believe that I am the bad guy?
Maybe you should think a second time about it. Nobody else went with PX, nobody else tried to defend them, nobody else holds any grudges against me.
And many PX members requested the permission to come back to our community. They were welcomed with open arms by us.

Daywalker and a few others took a different path.
They created fake chars and tried to cause more damage to our community and the CF server after the ban.
No matter how much daywalker tries to whisper into your ears... nothing can change those facts.
IF you don't believe my words then ask the other CF players or read the forum threads... they will reveil that my words are true.

My decision to throw out daywalker and a few of his friends prevented that this community and the server would have died.
If it is a crime to throw out rule breakers then I am guilty.
If it is a crime to prevent damages on this community then i am guilty.

Unlike Daywalker and a few of his friends nobody of us tried to cause damage to PX or took revenge. We left them alone. Irgnored them as long they didnt try to harm CF players.

Regarding the Shadow of Fear mod... you cant seriously expect us to send our community members to people which tried to damage our community.
That simply wont happen.
Aside from this do many CF members remember what PX did to us. It took us long to rebuild what has been damaged.
