Some can fail to be confirmed when making them friends, or such. Something else happened to me, that most of my "friends" were there before the friends feature existed, and I had to refresh it, but in the end it worked well.
Also, don't ocunt the "friends" to who you sent a friend request and it was not accepted yet.
