@michael...........u and a friend seems to have solved my problem........HEAT

silly thing really my laptop was sited on a white coloured desk, now i have put a black mat on the desk and the problem i had seems to have resolved itself.
it was probably the white colour reflecting back the heat, whereas the black mat absorbs the heat.

wierd really, but thank you all for educating me, this old duffer. LOL

Yeah, laptops are not really "gaming machines", what could be considered like that, costs over a thousand bucks. With that money you could buy a nearly top edge desktop computer.

But with home tricks like adding an exterior fan to cool the air under and arround the laptop, or the black material as you said, making sure there is distance between the table and laptop, and such, helps
