starting the Crossfire missions

    Hello,


    I installed Freelancer, FLMM 1.31 and Crossfire 1.9 and activated the mod.


    Started a new vanilla campaign and finished it.


    Now I wanted to continue with the Crossfire Missions but there aren't any to find. I read that I have to go to the Death Valley System to get a data disc but I can't get to the X3042 System from Omicron Alpha because the Jump Gate isn't there.


    Any help?

    What is NB? New Berlin?


    I have been there and landed on the planet but there was nothing special in the bar or anywhere and nobody talked to me besides the police befire scanning my ship.


    And I don't have an open mission besides those I took in bars.

    I played the Vanilla Campaign on regular (closed?) Singleplayer.


    And I don't really know how to start Open Singleplayer right now, the Mod can't be deactivated.

    When u finish vanilla campaign should automatically receive a mission to find Orilion in New Berlin (NB)...that i know about vanilla=>CF missions.

    It can be an installation thing. first, check behind the manhattan. there should be a gate to Custodian a short walk from Rochester base. If you dont have one in Omicron Alpha, you most probably won't have the custodian one too. If all like that, I would guess Mistake in installation. sorry, but yeah, total reinstall. Its all about the tiny thing, once you Installed and unpacked both Freelancer and Crossfire, right before activation, go to the properties of your Freelancer folder, switch off any flags like "read only" or anything else, then click Apply button to make changes to all subfolders. then do the same with Freelancer Mod manager folder. BTW, its a guideline from official installation FAQ from this forum. well, probably this would heal the problem. NO RESPONSIBILTY IF ITS NOT CORRECT! just to let you think about variants

    Thanks, I try re-install of the game, re-nstall of the Mod, then removing the read-only flags from both folders before activating, then activating the mod, starting the game and loading the last mission of the vanilla campagin.


    PS. Do I need to repeat the complete mission or is it enough if I reload the last autosave before heading through the hypergate to the Dyson Sphere?

    Your tipp with the read-only situation was on the dot. Now I got it right and the main menu is also the Crossfire menu.


    And I got the quest from Orillion :thumbsup:
