Can anyone explain this?

weird, i have no idea what it is but i do vaguely remember somebody posting something similar, they were also in the devron system (at least thats were it looks like you are) i can only guess that what should be a station around the planet has not loaded correctly or something. Still its definitely something you don't see every day

That's the big ship base thing in Dervon. For some reason, at times it displays a texture of a planet, and not the actual ship base thing. For instance, when I went in there today, I could see it.

Maybe someting to do with the Detail settings that makes it display differently.

i can explain this.... and it is fixed meanwhile

Nice to know it's fixed, although the ship within the planet looked awesome when the planet was that 'see-through' effect.

It is not a planet.
More likely a shield around that ship. Dock at GMG station and you can se it.

So how to get that shield down ....
(hope i didn't spoil it)

Yes, it's a shield.. but what CF version are you using heh
