Installation and SP problems with 1.82

    I have tried repeatedly to install crossfire following the instructions on other threads and the website with clean installs and putting the mod into FLMM 1.31 and activating but the CF launcher does not start using this procedure so I manually copy all Data and Exe files to the freelancer folder. I can get MP to work fine but SP crashes as soon as I try to go to space for the first time.
    Please HELP, this is so frustrating.

    Hello himjr, have you deleted save game folder in documents on c:\ ?

    Took your suggestion and searched my whole c: drive for any extra files. I did find some and deleted them and then performed a complete reinstallation but still had the same problem. I think my major problem is FLMM as it does not activate the mod properly. It fails to copy any of the critical DLL/EXE/DATA files so the crossfire launcher does not work as well as non of the changs in crossfire really showup.
    I must be doing something wrong, any other suggestions?

    Don't forget the let the FLMM alone until fully complete, even when it says "not responding"
    Go watch TV and don't touch your com while FLMM is busy

    FLLM seems to have completed (it doesnt take long). I have a fast computer and I am able to run MP without any problems.
    My specs:
    Alienware core duo 3.17 mhz windows vista
    8 megs ram
    nvidia GTX 295

    Manually copying the files is the biggest problem you might do. It (FLMM) has to do that. If it fails then you have to get rid of the problems. Often the write protection causes that files cannot be overwritten. So make sure you have the full write access to this folder (admin and remove the read-only flag from all files and folders). Otherwise please try to add the error description here.
