how to get out of game in space

    Sorry this is not the right board, but seems to have the most FL activity. I haven't played in years, and CF 1.82 has awakened my love for this game in a great new way. One thing - how can I quit the game while in space or otherwise not docked somewhere? I don't remember, and as I am trying out new weapons and such I'd like to be able to quit to the main menu or load screen while in space without trucking all the way back to a base. Any help? Sorry if this is a weenie question. :S

    It has been removed from this mod ,it keeps players from pressing F1 while in a fight.Personally i love this feature.so to answer your question you would have to dock and log out there is no safe way to leave space except docking,Or dying:)As far as i know

    I was told its possible to corrupt your character this way,but either way its not me doing it so all the power to you :P

    On CF there was never such situations in the last 5 years I've seen here ^^


    There were situations where chars got disconnected by personal or server issues while docking and passing system , or so... which is the moment when FL's editing your char data and suddenly losses signal... your char could be safe on any random coordinate on the other system(happened to me) or that everything dissapears from a simple code error(never happened to me).

    Good to know tnx:) :thumbsup: I still dont think id use it myself

    *sigh* go to the control assignments, search for the "attention window" key mapping and change F1 to something else (Shift+i is FL's default btw) and there you go you have F1 back to use in space... if you do change char or quit during a fight you simply risks to get killed before you actually get removed from the game or will be spawn killed by players or NPCs when you reload in space...


    If you do this during PvP you'll lose rep towards the other players so dont do it but in space aay from the fights its useful....


    It works great for me...
