another problem

    After a long expectation for activing the mod, one error appear:


    Error: SHCopyFile failed ('C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\Missions\M01A\m01a_01.thn.flmmbak' to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\Missions\M01A\m01a_01.thn')



    Can i reinstalling freelancer ?

  • Yes, that happens if you had an msinet.ocx error before, and you didn't reinstalled Freelancere afterwards (after the first failed try).


    The safest way for every PC, is reinstalling Freelancer, then try activating the mod again, rnning FLMM as administrator (that button on right click), meinly if you run Vista.


    A less safer but working way (IF you didn't made it restore backups, if you pressed Yes at restore backups the game is screwed and you need a new installation, if you pressed NO, then you can do this) is doing that file manually, there is 1 file that stucks after the msinet error, and if you move it and rename it correctly (just 1 mintue), it will go to the end (remember to choose the same options when activating the mod !! ).

  • In my case that's : 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\Missions\M01A\m01a_01.thn.flmmbak' who shall i modify in 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\Missions\M01A\m01a_01.thn ?

    Neither file corresponding !

  • You have to find the FIRST one of them, in the FLMM mods files, not the one in FL, of course, becuase the copy failed !


    Anyways, if you have issues with it simply eliminate FL and make it again :D

    I reinstalled everything and it works well.


    Dans la nouvelle installation j'ai regardé le fichier qui posait problème











    In the new facility I looked at the file that was problematic and I saw there were missing files in the old facility freelancer.





    Is this what would the uninstall the old mod?

  • Well, as you found the files with problems... and it works..



    gratz :)


    Of your last question, making the msinet.ocx error makes the flmm mod bug few files, which can dissapear... that's why you have to start again, running flmm as admin.
