single player same as vanilla?

    I only played the vanilla for like 5 minutes, found the graphics and such to be dull so i dled crossfire. Is the CF SP suppose to be the same as vanilla? I think i searched a thread adn said it is, do i still get the additional content like the graphics improvement, newer ships, the new systems, ect?


    also i dont know why but the game looks like its shadowed, everything seems dark, and black. like the planets in space and the ships are very dark, like a dark blob, is that due to the dynamic lighting?

    Look at teh CF trailer... what you see there is what yo ucan see in singleplayer... yes you have all the features in SP too :D


    Something went wrong with your install... or your graph card isn't powerful enough...
    Have you used FLMM 1.3.1 ?
    Temporarly deactivated the AV (AntiVirus) so it doesn't block the installation files so you get such bugs ?
    If your graph card is 128 or lower... have you activated "Low Card Compatibility" mode ? As teh game has heavy graphical improvements... on full performance it needs a lot more than the vanilla FL :D


    Anyways the universe has to be very bright, not dark... and as told you have all improvements in SP too, if something is wrong with it, it's cus of some corrupt installation or mistake, or graph card issues...

    Try to higher the Performance Options if you used it before and/or use the Gamma correction - all accessable via the Game Options. If it doesn´t help renew your graphic card driver too.

    heh sorry i should of posted this in the technical problems forums but, i got a pretty solid system with everything up to date, i will try to get a screen shot up here later tonight when im playing it again.

    the 260M has often driver updates - i am on a similar gc - just try to update if you haven´t yet.

    unfortunal it has some Open GL Bugs and yes a screeny would be perfect and your nb is far more than you need - 70-80 fps are possible.
