Some unpleasant incidents of the past showed us that we badly need a Code of Conduct for the members of this site. The upcoming changes on the Portal (wiki, intruction of new games, massive extensions) require a more strict definition of what is allowed and what is not allowed.
SWAT always has been very open and we tolerated really much. I dont intent to turn it into an Abbey or something like that, no i want to to be open and free as usual but with some guidelines.
Maybe you have notice it already, maybe not (if you stay logged in) but the entire login and registration process has been reconstructed. New members can get instructions about basic rules and the structure of SWAT right before they join. That is good because of the size that SWAT meanwhile it often is confusing for new members to get along. I hope this will improve now.
All this became possible now that I have optimized the SWAT Forum for search engine bots and fixed several bugs related to their access rights. Some limitation could get liften this way and a new user management system got introduced a few days ago.
However... back to the main topic.
