    Has a new version been uploaded that I must download of CF? Because I get into CF and then when i try to connect it just doesn't want to get further than saying there is a connection problem.


    I downloaded cf on the 10th of Jan so its far from the one that was released on the 5th as OP did upload another one on the 6th if I'm not mistaken.


    So is there a new version out or is this just my cf that's going bonkers on my connection?

    if u have 1.8 then i think it is playing with your connection. try reinstalling fl or cf n if that dosen't help then reinstall both. that should do the trick cause the server is online

    or well, for some, unluckyness you tryed t oconnect in the hours, moments, the serer was bugged on red lagg, when nobody could log in.

    Guess I shall re-install my entire CF and hope for the best. 3 days ago the luancher downloaded quite a few patch files of 75 mb in size so I am guessing somewhere in that download a file probably got corrupted.


    Right then, back to fixing my cf.....

    OK I have found the problem. And I didnt even re-install cf or freelancer yet to do so. Just now I have turned off all computers in my house, reseted my router, reseted my pc and turned off all background tasks that might interfere with connections or gameplay and tried connecting to cf again.


    Before I did this I connected to cf with a 590 ping and 18 flucts. After I did the above I still got the same results. And since other world wide servers in many different games show 350 less ping for me than CF does atm, I have concluded that when OP patched the server 3 days ago, he must've done something to the server that the connection to world wide parties are bad. Thats just a random guess but I do know the problem is not on my side, it sits at the server side so perhaps I found a new bug of the matter for you OP?


    Hope I was of somekind of help here, as clearly before the patch was applied, I had no problems with my connection with a stable average ping of 250, 0 loss and 0 flucts after 3 hours of gameplay. A way better performance than the current 590 ping, 3 loss and 21 flucts after 5 minutes of gameplay.

    Well then it must be something that was done to the server that is causing this connection probs for us international peeps. I hope it is solved soon, wish I could do anything to help but I did all I could by responding to the bug and reporting it.

    so, now you have that ping ? weird...cus me, and many others are just fine, with 50/60 0 0 ping...


    But, listening that you had 250 ping before the bug, or patch... then it doubled in a bad way... it might be something different.

    Hey guys i got kinda same prob here. I can reach the characters screen for a sec and then the connection message appears. I got 112 ping and i see 14 ppl online right now. It was working before i installed latest updates for my laptop. I hope this is not interfereing because just before reboot, it was working fine.


    Tell me what is going on, do you guys see the cheat detected message online (maybe the updates makes the cheat detector crazy ?)
