Edit, seems not....good luck all on the beta testing. I'll stay outta your hair and go install and play thru Starlancer again Gotta shoot something to keep from going insane. Best wishes for a speedy fix to any probs you guys find!

Everything seems to be working now. 1.7 was great and I am really looking forward to exploring 1.8. I haven't had the chance to play Freelancer in about a year so I have a lot of rust to shack off.

so i downloaded it
it looks amazing with my graphic card tuned a bit
like a different game.. these updated graphics
a minor point i think however part of the backgrounds used like u see a star and its only
a drawing on the background.. far in the distance
however when u see the bright suns and everything it looks amazing really
if the freelancer engine wasnt so limited we could walk around planets and all that!
or around your ship! i am confident this is the most advanced freelancer mod out there today!!!!!
really a great job a good game for space fans!!!!obviously people have been pushing the limits here with the freelancer engine[woot] [woot] -

Does it work on Windows 7 (32-bit)? 2 GB of RAM DDR2, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256 MB DDR2. Haha, I'm pretty sure it will, but I just wanna make even more sure lol.
One more thing... Do we need to activate it with FL Mod Manager 1.3 or 1.4?! Or it doesn't matter?

In beta testing, we used FLMM 1.31; as far as I know, v1.4 will not work.

Last night i was not sure if i should release the mod again due to the crashes in sol. This system is one of the main systems of the mod and definitly needed. I decided to release it under the conditions of a "public beta" and run the server this way during the next weeks. So you can play the mod and i can fix the bugs bit by bit (if possible).
That there are some minor probs is not a surprise due to the size of the mod and the fact that we had only 2 days for the dev beta in 2009. The current structure of the mod allows on the fly updates and fixes so i expect that the mod will be bugfree in a few weeks.

I only asked about the FLMM `coz I saw someone else asking lol. I'm pretty sure I don't want my PC to blow up... so I'll stick to 1.31. Good this is the one I have .
Gosh, poor you, people! I'm downloading with 1->1.5 MB/s and I'm uploading BSG on uTorrent, while browsing half a dousin web pages . Btw, iriver video convertor is running too . Guess I don't need more RAM at all . OMG ! 2.5 MB right now!!! Guess I don't have to wait until tonight :X .

I have downloaded and successfully activated the mod. However when I try to activate the launcher it opens but before the files can be downloaded I get error message 53 "File not found: CF_CL.dll".
I have this file can you please advise which folder it should be located in? I have 2 versions of CF_CL.dll, one in the original game exe folder and the other in the 1.8 exe folder. -

Alright. I've downloaded it, installed in FLMM folder, activated it. Speaking of activating, OP, you should make a few photos for these : cursors, menu look, HUD look, so we'll know which one we want, so we won't have to deactivate and activate the mod everytime .
Playing in SP... Maybe someone can tell me how to hell to set it to 1440x900? Also, HOW THE HELL DO I BRING UP THE MENU while in the game? F1 doesn't work rofl ! ! !
