Hi mates,
something to events, here especially to the TDM-EVENT on monday evening.
Lucy is doing great. That event could be the best happening during the week on freelancer crossfire.
BUT:
I have a problem having fun there now. One reason might be, that I am not an experienced fighter. But you all know how it works. You only improve, if you try and try and try. Events in general are a great opportunity.
Rookies and people who maybe never learn how to fly a fighter (like me), and I am trying pvp since May 2004, are looking for opponents who have the same grade of skills. FUN is what keeps events alive. Thought about it, how people feel, ending up with 1/17 or 2/14 or 5/29?
Some people who MUST WIN whatever the cost are looking for victims like me to reach a rate of 20/2 or something like that..... They think they are great. Are they? They might be good pilots, but do they know something about honor and fairness?
They should try to watch the scene from another perspective.
I don't envy people who do that unbelievable rates.... I look up to people who reach 2/1 or 4/3 or even 1/2 or 2/3. You know what I mean? People who just ignore new and unready pilots and search an opponent with even skills.
There have been some pilots in the last event, and I had several chances to improve my rate. But you cannot become satisfied, when your targets or yourself are shot from elite fighters and you end up with something like 2/14.
I take that personally, when that doesn't change. And elite pilots who go on eliminating me six times in a row, I put on my personal "don't like anymore list".
That's what I wanted to say. I would be happy, when there are some people aout there to discuss that matter.
Bye
Bel
