Understanding the clans

    I have played SP and CF and now I am giving MP a try. I have not chosen a clan YET! I have been looking at what the clans stand for in general, but most of my information I can find is only on the Server Clans.

    I know which systems are clan systems but what are the pros and cons of all of the clans?


    Any help in choosing the right clan?

    I am the Leader of a Non - Server Clan here. My clan is called IFC.


    You should choose a clan depending on what you want to do.


    There are police, pirate and mercenary clans here.


    My clan specialises in trading, killing aliens and having overall fun. We are friendly to most on the server.

    imho there is only one thing you really should take into account: the people in the clan (and vice versa, of course)

    I would suggest you to follow different clans actions during a period of time and check what they do...if you are happy with clan members and with the RP they do, then go and join. But dont join the first clan that offers you cash or equipment...after all most of the clans will give it to you. Main thing is to have fun with the clan members...take your time to choose and choose wisely.

    Make virtual friends in the RP you like - this will bring you to the best experience imO.


    For example try every interesting RP as a Freelancer and after your decision on one have a look to the Clans and their ppl doing this RP.


    Some Clans are more open than others, keep that in mind too ;)

    Like I said earlier I have played SP and I really like the modification that allows me to collect bounties on criminals. That is a new twist that I really enjoy. I have been looking at others on the server and talking to them as well.
    I agree that I should not make a brash decision and I will be watching and learning from all of you. One more question. Once a decision is made how do you join a clan?

    Bounties are also kept on cops and military. :D:P:rolleyes:

    I have decided which clan and I have asked to join already. Now I just have to wait for the final decision to be made.

    If u want to collect a REALY info abt clans, don`t read that stupid post of Lucy (Sorry Lucy, but u must be objective and independent as journalist). Talk to clan members- police, pirate or mercs and choice the side u want to play. For example, if u ask me about my clan online, i give u full answers abt us and our RP. Like others, I hope.

    pps: it's no coincidence the overview by trillian is on the roleplay board. hard to believe, but true: i did use my brain when i posted that :D

    I did ask ppl omline about their clan and I observed the chat logs as well. Picking a clan is very important as well as trying to understand the underlying dynamics of the clans. I really love all of this intrigue.
