Edit: Seeing as Manhattan is getting a extreme-makeover, are other popular planets like California, los Angelas, Leeds or even New Berlin also going to get a make-over?
-
yes - every planet will be redone
and no the clouds are fixed ones.... there are only a very few planets in cf1.8 which use the atmosphere concept that I originally created for earth
reason for that is simply the size of the mod which would very soon exceed 3-4gb if i allow every planet to have floating clouds -
Good job on the planet. It's attention to detail, like that, which has a cumulative "wow effect" when put together.

how about a separate downloadable "premium quality content" pack or something? -
if you give me another year of development
yep its rights the details are important... thats why i create almost everything 3-4 times before i start to like it - lol
anyway I re-textured a few more planets (about 10) but i wont upload every pic now... here are 4 of them (thats enough spoiler)
I replaced manhatten with the other planet models so i cant tell you where you can find them ingame.

wow sweet

They're nice, but I'm a bit critical, every new feature that 1.8 has just means the release date is pushed back further, yes, new planets are nice, but are they really that necessary?
-
yes
-
@Trainwiz - I retextured half of the planets in just 6 hours
btw. one more screenshot
Planet 5 old
Planet 5 new -
Much better detail on the planets ... nice work OP
-
Whoa!

OP just out of curiosity, since your doing such a WOW job on this project of yours. Have you ever considered taking your work to Blizzard? You'd get a spot in next gen design's just like that
But other than that, Excellent work on the planets
-
great job, but what about minimum system requirements?
-
-
no - thats not the old one
on the screenshots you can see the new one already which as the same color sheme but more details -
O_O
