    Well, not an entire newbie, but last time I was here was a good year ago so....yeah =]


    None of you probably remember me, but I was just wondering is the server still active as active as always? And are there still those lovely kind people who want to show me around? =] Better yet! Are there any guides on how to get started in the crossfire world? Logged on this morning and honestly had no idea where to start..just wondered around somewhat aimlessly and eventually just signed off.

    i'm rather new to Crossfire too, and from my experience i can tell you: You'll be very welcome.
    And there are many people who'll help you getting started, including me.

    Hi Buffy,


    I have been on the server for under a month, so am pretty new too. The CF universe is all very friendly and I am sure that you will have no problem finding people to help you. Just chat with them and things will happen, or at least this is what I have found.


    A couple of bits of advice from my what I found starting up.


    Firstly, check out the clans and their systems, it is quite easy to wonder into clan systems without realising it and you don't want to start by bring down the wrath of a clan on you.


    Secondly, what I did to get started was explore the vanilla systems. Life is not too hard in them and you will make some money, upgrade your ship and start to fill out your map. Check out the news in the bar for leads as too what is going on and check the equipment dealers for any tasty bits of kit.


    The best way I found to make money early on is selling escape pods at prison, so try and find where the prisons are.

    Find the CF Guide on the Freelancer boards for installation tips, and plunge on in. I don't think I even played SP version of CF before I jumped into MP; it has been quite a ride, ever since! :D

    hey i just got game yesterday, and now i'm online in CF. pretty cool i have to say. i'm a total nub tho and i don't know really anything, like how do i join a clan or somethin, luckily some guy called coyote helped me out and gave me money so thats cool.

    If multiplayer gets too intense, go back and play thru the single player again, to get used to the maps, NPC's and trading. CF is a fun place if you don't let it get to you... :D (No worries, it was less than $2million, party because I got him killed flying in formation... :baby: )
