  • I have a few (probably already suggested) suggestions:


    1. Jump engines, pretty clear on that:P


    2. A graphic make-over, Everything bigger and nicer,


    3. Ongoing fights, lets say you have a war between kusari and corsairs, the corsairs destroy a space station, the space station is destroyed, and stays that way! this keeps a certain realism in it. This is good for servers that do an ongoing story mod in their mod on the server.


    4. change the way of spawning, always in groups of 2 or 4 of 5 or 6 after a certain amount of kilometres, keep it more random on which times the spawning happens.

  • I would like a reward for Pvp win, not the 100.000 that we earn now but something to loot.


    In example, if i blow you up you drop a 10% of your ammo, like that i can loot it and dont have to buy it...


    In big pvp battles will be interesting, as players die the others loot their ammo and have less chances to run out of it.

  • Idea: add electronic warfare to Freelancer. This is things like combat viruses, firewalls, antiviruses, radiological (I think that's the right word) countermeasures, i.e. missile toppling, and the like.


    I see it working something like this: viruses act as a sort of "debuff" on enemy ships. For example, you may upload a virus into an enemy spacecraft and all of a sudden his shield systems go nuts, flickering on and off, and eating up shield batteries, or else depolarizing their hull plating lowering their maximum armor. Or a virus that screws up your sensors, randomizing your target (like in the nebula in Freespace 2).Or even something that marks the target for your missiles as you.


    Firewalls, of course, would determine whether or not a virus can affect your ship, and antivirus software would determine how long the debuffing effect would last. Who knows, you may even be able to convince Norton or McAfee to endorse you.


    By the way, for those of you who haven't seen Dr. No, "toppling" is when you fire a high-energy radio beam at the tip of a missile, causing the nav systems to fizzle and throwing the missile (or rocket ship, as in Dr. No), to go wildly off course.

  • for the electronic warfare, i think that the randomize target device would be really col, because its fair, but confusing at the same time.

    I get annoyed with the top bar of the hud.. you know the one.. with the flight deck.. the bar.. the commodities trader.. why the hell do we need that little drop down icon?


    Let's get rid of that.. its a waste of time.. and it saves a click..

  • How about an attachment for capital ships that allows you to fire out swarms of A.I.-controlled fighters or bombers, like a Protoss Carrier?


    Automated point-defense turrets? To eliminate incoming torpedoes, and the like.

  • if anyone still reads this, i have detatched all of stock FLs fins into .3DB files for use as fins, and i have them all functioning already.



    (these are equippable as shields, and can even be shot off)


    if someone could direct me to a place to upload them, i would happily let your mod use them if you put my name in the credits. ;)

  • Clan bank and Stores ..
    Would be nice to have a clan bank and stores on planet or base .. access by password ..
    All system can have a base or planet where this can be done .. and only activated when the system is rented ..
    Would save having to use char slots for stores and bank ..
    And please please please .. on the char load up screen .. can we transfer money between our different chars..ie from trade char to fighters .. and so on ..would be cool if we could do the same for weapons and equitment as well ..

  • money exchange between chars. maybe make a bot. you send him money and PM the char you are switching to. then you switch and the bot makes trade request to the received char name w/ the sent money... imo this could be possible to do.


    Somewhat like:

    IMO this could be possible to do via [server-side] scripting... It is possible to make a [client-side] trade bot, why couldn't this be?
    Tho you should be able to make the bot read chat and make/receive trades (flhook maybe?)
    oh and btw - isn't there an flhook command /givemoney or something?
