even if i would give the server version to you then you would still not be able to run the server since Crossfire is a dynamic mod which has to be synchronized
the only you will see are crashes every 2-3 minutes since you wont be able to synchronize the client version with the server version

I was just making a joke out of the situation. The only one dumb here might be you.
OP did take another man to court and they had to shut down. He will do everything to protect his mod and this community.
It will be very easy for him to decipher in court that you "kind" of used his code if all the features he has, are used by your server too.
Why not bring all your players to this server ?

well in this case you have to use the crossfire mod... you have to edit it... you have to pass a security system and doing all this you break the licence agreement you agreed with when you installed the mod... you also break copyright laws doing this
as soon you touch my mod to manipulate something or change it or do anything that has not been allowed by the original creator of the mod (me) then you are in serious trouble

the last guy which tried it was admin of the australasian freelancer server and his server was closed just a few weeks after he did this shit
if you just take a ship model or if you copy a few lines from the inis that i created you also will run into problems like another mod creator which tried to do this in the past

Crossfire is not a free mod, I created it and i said under which conditions its allowed to be used
Oh and yes... i am willing to bring this to a court if neccessary but i will not pay... that why i have a good insurance.
Btw. Server providers and ISPs usually deal with such situations by turning down servers or connections before it becomes a matter infront of a court.
