hehe m8 nice trial with turning off the 3d sound was not meant to turn off your speaker. you should disable it within the game audio options that you can enter via the main menu directly after launch of freelancer.
if the game crashed you can make easy a screenshot by pressing the print button on your keyboard (the screen is captured and pasted to the clipboard, yo open a picture editor and paste it from the clipboard so you can save the picture).
BTW do you know how to download it to this forum? I am this will also a prob for you...
m8 normally its not a big prob to get freelancer running, play a bit with configurations of your computer. m8 believe me, playing helps to understand how to use your computer ;D go and use Google there is a lot of stuff that helps you in understanding your PC... we were noobs some time as well so don't give up

what does the error report say? is it something about "module not found"? if so then check the CF Guide for the section about "The Crossfire Launcher"...
-
You may need to let it update itself.
-
I let it patch itself i said that at start of post :/. But still
But i will still try the Cf guide thx For helping ppl -

Hey, me again
I've... er... lost
"freelancer.ini"
and i have also misplaced the disk. If someone could post the file or a link to it that would be great.
Thanks(and I may have lost other parts of the game)
-
Hey, after looking through the files I appear to have lost over half of them. Opps. i'll need to find the disk, thanks for your help.
-
You will need to uninstall everything - remove any shred of evidence Freelancer ever existed on your hard drive - and then re-install everything again.
That included uninstalling FLMM
You need to find that disk again!!
-
Yeah, thanks
Now where is that disk... -
You could also download it from the internet.
Hit me up if you want to know how.

That is lame, its only around $5, £3, 5 nowadays. So you may aswell just buy the game.
