I think people were too scared to post, as everyone knows every new and successful pirate will one day have to encounter our best known nemesis.

I see online at least a dozen pirates everyday - more than any RP really except merchants - yet I only see a few that do their RP a lot. Sure I probably don't see all the activity and am a bit of a hypocrite in that I only do my own role about half the time, but I know it'd be a lot of fun if my train would always be under attack and there'd be violent encounters... people to rescue during all those long patrols through the Houses.

The fact that some of my DOM collegues across multiple clans have been able to fine criminals for their lawlessness confuses me. Privateers surrendering freely to the authorities in hopes of peace and tranquility? Hehehe, what happened to the rough and dirty take-no-prisoners criminals out there that I used to fear so much?

Smuggling RP has been way up lately, merc acitivity is still reasonable despite the recent loss of a clan, and since the police reorganized we've been incredibly effective at thwarting unlawful acts in a variety of instnaces. It's a tough life for a pirate I know, but we need you!

Pirates are probably the most fun to have around. They are at their best when they're passionate about their role. I would hope some people would contact Gunny for help on how to revamp the piracy here. There are some truly magnifent swashbucklers here already, but I can't wait for all those other, more elusive and timid LP, Fallen, and TRF out there to feel compelled to hunt people like me down, mug me, and then beat me senseless. Funny Lance. Last night when you were on, I saw 1 Pirate being chased around by 3 Cops and 1 Freelance Merc.

Come out pie rats or do I have to put out some cheese....or whiskey? True though where the pie rats went. Its boreing now since all u can do is chase smuggling IOC and SMG.

This is where part of the trouble comes in I guess. Different RP groups show up at different times of day en-mass. When you saw me last night it was at about 20:00 MST. In juxtaposition, at 8:00 the tables are turned in those same proportions you described (3 or 4 unlawfuls to each cop). At other times of day there are large numbers of smugglers but nobody to puruse them. When are there equal numbers by chance?

It's not anybody's fault. The tides are lopsided at different times... and just so you know, not even once last night was I in a PvP that wasn't 1 vs. 1. The only part of that situation that was unfair was that the smuggler in question used F1 at least 4 times to both leave SoS the moment somebody jumped in, and then back again as soon as the coast was clear.

This thread isn't about which groups are being most successful, Burro, and it's not about how many players do what and when. It is an opportunity for people to take if they so wish. The RPs are not unbalanced on this server. I've seen places where more than half the players are of one RP. This thread isn't about addressing a problem so much as making something that's arleady good better.

Mayday, maday CF command (squeak)I don't even know the current clans anymore.,.,I can't believe what I've been reading....Tarsus open for visits?!? The great G-man himself helping (must be some kinda motive) to..dare I say...gulp....help pirates?$?$!!!!!! The last few weeks have been a confusing blast of something (your own opinion here) and I think things might never be the way it was.........you guys will get over it I'm sure. I speak only for me, but I would like G start a char and only pirate with it, see if you can make any money....I still don't have a train (but sometimes trade in-system with an APC) its very hard to make it like this, noone except noobs and allies ever pay tax so I can't afford to tangle with all the cops I see (besides the fact that it only pads YOUR stats to pvp against me) so..........
I just dont know how to help the current issues/situation, so feel free to point me in the right direction.....I will take all advise with a grain of salt and the consider further engagement ingame as a welcomed- maybe I should say necessary- part of keeping this fun for me

I definatly cant agree with that. Infact I wasnt asked for tax for a very long time now. Pirates pls dont be as desperate as to not even try taxing anymore. There are still alot of people out there willing to pay the fee.

Fines, local and national taxes, fees... all the same to me. The Sirius concil of ministers and the local authorities will steal em all . But still if it's reasonable I usually pay. If not I consult my financical advisor mr. Argos how can I avoid paying em with paper donations to SMG war orphans fund, with transfers of cash between banks (Bank of Deadalus and Bank of Casius), etc, etc.
