Display MoreThere have been quite a few talks recently about the upcoming Mass Effect trilogy remaster, which has still not been confirmed by BioWare or EA. However, it’s seemingly more and more clear that it is happening, but according to a recent report, it won’t be arriving until next year.
VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, who has practically been all over the Mass Effect trilogy remaster news, recently reported that the remastered collection has been delayed until early 2021. Originally, the remaster was going to being revealed and released in October, but that appears to no longer be the case. According to Grubb, the main reason for the delay, besides the global pandemic, is apparently the first Mass Effect game. “It currently does not live up to the quality of the rest of the package,” says Grubb. Delaying, of course, would seem understandable as the devs would likely want to get everything right.
In addition to the delay cause by the first game not meeting the same level of quality the team has been able to achieve with the second and third titles, Grubb also notes that the multiplayer portion of ME 3 will not be included with the Mass Effect trilogy remaster. However, it will include all of the DLC from all three Mass Effect titles.
