The Alliance Assembly has decided not to adopt President Gibson Kincaid's proposed changes to the constitution, and has ruled against imbuing the role of president with executive powers. The Assembly has agreed to update the role, however, with the creation of a new non-political department known as the Office of the Alliance President. The presidential term has also been extended to three years.
The Sirius Corporation has publicly offered to work with engineer Ram Tah in the development of further Guardian-human technology. Some business analysts have advised Ram Tah to take advantage of the offer to mass-produce his designs, while others have warned that Sirius Corp is seeking a monopoly over Guardian-human technology. As yet there has been no response from Ram Tah.

DefianceIndustrieshas finished up the gorgeous Lexington model that he first shared
last month. The goal was to make it more visually distinct from the Yorktown class TCS Victory, and the results here show off the slightly beefier structure and exterior trussing that was more visible in Wing Commander 4. She's looking great now!
After a week of screwing around with hull panel patterns and trying to get something close to the original, I think it turned out nicely. There's also a Princeton (CV-48) skin as well.

Spacedockhas put together a neat short clip on the nature of fighter space combat. Daniel talks about the need to turn into your enemy, avoid jousting and aim for large targeting surfaces among other things. Wing Commander isn't the focus of the video, but it may as well be as most of the topic is relevant to fighting in the WC universe. A second video talks about how hard it would actually be to evade missiles in space. Tough times for fighter pilots!

Foundation started us down a new road, and two years later we’re releasing community missions, dropping weekly content, and NEXT – our biggest update yet – continues to see AAA player numbers. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response.
The Abyss launches for free on all platforms today, an eerie underwater update. Explore oceans with new depth, filled with treasure and dangerous new life forms. Dive with friends, pilot a submarine around sunken wrecks and uncover a ghost story amongst buried treasure.
The Abyss is our next small step along this journey, and there are more to follow.

…Adm_Maverickhas posted further instructions on how to turn his simple WC fighter templates into small cardboard miniatures. He simply prints out the artwork below, affixes it to plain cereal box cardboard, cuts the outlines and glues the final product together. The results, as previously shared, are astounding for such a simple method. It's a neat art project anyone can try!
I just use cereal boxes for the cardboard. Just print out the templates on any half decent inkjet printer, use a glue stick to glue the template down to the cardboard. Let it dry... for like 12 hours. Then use an exacto-blade to cut out the parts. Any parts that are white with a black outline are just meant to build up body mass.So if you look at this image, I've numbered the parts for reference, and then look at this image where I've laid out a mock-up of layers to show the order the parts should be built up in. If the Valkyrie can´t hold cargo, how are the players supposed to transport small supplies (ammo, food…) and weapons (like mortars or anti-tank weapons, railguns or RPGs etc…) to the front lines?
The Valkyrie’s purpose is to carry troops and a vehicle down to a location, drop them off, and provide close support via its weaponry. It is very much a dropship/gunship rather than a resupply ship. While some dropships may simply drop off the team and jet, the Valkyrie is equipped to provide continued support for drop off and extraction. The troops onboard have a gunrack per seat alongside storage

Inspector Erin Sangster of Alliance Interpol made this statement:
"The death of Fazia Silva has been officially ruled as homicide. The use of a sophisticated nerve toxin and the circumvention of security at Hume Orbital suggests the involvement of one or more professional assassins."
"Unfortunately, we have now exhausted all possible avenues of investigation, and are left with no option but to consider the case closed."
President Gibson Kincaid told the media:
"I have no doubt that the murder of Ms Silva was designed to disrupt our democracy, and I will not rest until the Alliance's enemies pay for their crimes."
Tashmira Silva has now assumed permanent control of her late sister's corporate empire.

…Arena of Sompek Event: Resolved an issue that could cause enemies to not spawn in the Arena. Existing versions of the "Collect Arena of Sompek Event Rewards" (Sompek Pulsewave) Event Reputation Project will now have their requirements set to 1 "Merit of Sompek". This will auto-complete the project for anyone that already has progress recorded. Resolved a typo in the Arena of Sompek description that stated the Event was only for levels 50 – 60. Now refers to levels 50 – 65. General: All Mission Transwarps have been set to no longer have an Energy Credit fee associated with them. Recent reports from the Geras system indicate that after a spate of reciprocal attacks, hostilities between Geras First and Ndozins State Inc have escalated into all-out war.
According to Donal Varden, an independent journalist:
"For several months we've seen these factions sniping at one another from the shadows, but now the stakes have been raised. It won't be long before the space lanes of Geras are littered with the burned-out shells of dead ships."
The warring organisations have issued calls to independent combat pilots for support. Commanders who participate in the conflict will be generously rewarded by their chosen faction.
Both factions have set out week-long operations to take control of the system, which will begin on the 1st of November 3304.
