As Alliance engineers delve into Hur’q technologies to better understand them and how to best adapt their technology to ours, one specialized team has been hard at work adapting their starships for incorporation into the Alliance’s fleets to help replace the vessels lost in many recent conflicts. The following starships will become available with the release of the Swarm Lock Box, scheduled to arrive on PC starting with the release of Age of Discovery on October 9th, 2018. Hur’q Assembly Multi-Mission Science Vessel [T6] The Assembly appears to have originated as a long-range scout, with strong sensor suites and auxiliary systems designed for support roles and scientific endeavors, but highly adaptable to more offensive pursuits since the Hur’q transitioned into a ravening swarm. Despite a relatively civilian design (when seen through the unique lens of Hur'q society), these vessels

    Famous Origin artist

    Denis Loubet

is back with a new Wing Commander item. He's been experimenting with 3D printing for some time, and we've been excited at the possibility of something out of the WC series. The Terran Confederation

    Medal of Honor

has been at the top of our list, and that's exactly what's on the docket here. A prototype design has been put together as a type of pin, but LOAF has gone one step further and found the exact type of ribbon necessary to make it perfect. They still need to work out the details of how the two components might be attached, but this is already a great start. We can't wait to see the finished product!

Sorry for the long wait, but I finally created a 3D printing file for the Terran Confederation Inter-Congressional Medal of Honor! You can order it now, but before you do I want to ask the forum what kind of attachment to the ribbon do you want on the back of

    Several years ago we

    reported on

a video that just contained the previews attached to the front of Wing Commander on VHS. It was an oddity at the time, but apparently there's a market for everything. Fast forward to 2018 and that clip has nearly 15,000 views on YouTube. His similar segment for

    Toy Story

has more than 700,000 views and here's a

    Lion King II

version that's pushing a million. So apparently this is a real thing. As such, a competing YouTuber with a similar idea has just posted the WC VHS previews again. This time it's a shaky cam recording of a CRT television that blurs in and out of focus. This is even worse than the earlier version, so there's no need to watch it, but I'm just amazed it exists. Maybe check out the swanky flair involved as he slides the case into view right at the beginning. That's art. He has 1300 subscribers and 1.6 million total views, so while still an up and

The stars in the sky were simply boiling, exploding balls of gas, spread out over billions of miles. Ensign Keero had never understood his human companions’ desires to ascribe patterns to them. And yet, standing in the dark, looking out of the view port of Deep Space Two, Deck 47, East Wing, Keero noticed these patterns. Most of all, he noticed they were different from what he remembered. This was not unexpected. From the time Keero had awoken two days ago, he had traveled exactly 153 years, three months, two days, twelve minutes, and 36.5 seconds into the future. During all of that time, the stars would shift, ever so slightly, the patterns would change. This was a natural and expected course of events. This should satisfy him. But Keero looked out at these new stars and felt…uneasy. Like he was barely holding on to the floor, and could go spinning off into space at any time. The feeling was

Here's another neat Morningstar wallpaper by

    tkdrobert

    . Unlike his last

    piece

, this one features the heavy fighter at rest on a flight deck somewhere. It uses Klavs' baseline fighter model again, and this time tkdrobert has added landing gear and a pilot. The hangar reminds me of the asteroid bases from Wing Commander 3, which would be an interesting angle. You can find more of his work at DeviantArt
