You can remark startup video out in freelancer.ini and i Think its worth a shot.
Otherwise maybe a bios update if any is available.

I have a computer with Intel HD Graphics (at work) and both FL and CF is running just fine.

Don't copy autosave.fl and restart.fl from your laptop or you Will have a crash.

About changing screensize and fonts -I allways do that as the last thing.

Do you have saved games in my documents\my games\freelancer..... Ex restart.fl (<-delete it) or rename folder (to save other games)

You have not installed the crossfire mod ?

A longshot would be Windows Media player (intro video's) problem. But I only experienced that with a new Windows XP were it was not installed and activated.

When you run the dxdiag command, is everything ok and whql verified (driver problems) ?
And you did put your graphics Card in the Intel section - right ?

You installed everything with 'run As Administrator' aswell ?

I have tried that in a Battleship, some days ago - only docking ring was activated, not the mooring. Maybe a fighter will solve that one.

I think you have a diskerror. Have you checked the harddisk or know how to ?
It's not a problem to upload that file, but if its a diskerror it will just be another file making the error.

When you have checked the disk, just remove Crossfire from the FLMM and install Crossfire1.9 again and activate it.

@Hour are you refering to the Crossfire TrueType font bcs. I don't remember installing it. I also don't find it in the mod folder, but it is in my Windows\fonts folder

FLMM 1.31 is supported and works just fine.

I don't think that disabling UAC is the same as running with elevated rights (administrator). I suggest that you do the run as administrator thing to be sure.
The Administrator user do exist in Windows 7, it is just a hidden user.

Did you remove readonly attrributes on the files in the Freelancer folder before installing (and after).

I suggest that you download CF 1.9 - you can't compare it with CF 1.82

I have downloaded CF 1.9 with Firefox and no problems there.
If you installed 1.82 and let it update with 1.9 updates, it's probably not working.
CF 1.82 is not supported, only CF 1.9 is supported.

btw did your vanilla Freelancer work ?

Number 4. Install FLMM to FL directory is not the default directory. Try the default \program Files\Freelancer mod manager\

Most important for aiming is projectile speed, so use the same weapons or weapons with same projectile speed. Look at the weapons specs. when buying.
Here are some basics about fighting from the original Microsoft website - happy reading.
The link is the "Combat Fundamentals" menu, also read "Weapons Selection" and "Battle Tactics" from the menu.

It's hard to help when you dont tell much.
Ex.
- which operating system do you use - Windows what
- did you update the OS - windows update
- which Antivirus are you using
- which firewall are you using
- have you had any disk errors
- did you run a disk check
- what size is your disk
- any dxdiag problems (dxdiag is a program - please run it and upload result file)
- when deactivating Crossfire - does your Freelancer work or same error

So you are not quite lost yet, i guess

That card is allready in the flconfigdatabase.txt - line 850 (of 1125 lines) on my computer. Just saying.
