I was guessing that that the anti-cheat software took care of this and was pointing out that OS filter is better, as the software don't get "bothered" with DDoS packages

I am going to implement this OS-policy on all my computers, to prevent future attacks -just saying.

In the OSI model OS policy is layer-2 and application is layer-7. Its a big difference.

I've been looking into this and the right way is to have the ISP to filter that kind of traffic.
This is highly technical stuff and there are many ways for them to it. If they offer this service at a fair price.

The "right" way is to filter the traffic, before it gets to the servers.
If ISP don't provide this service it is possible to install a program to filter that traffic.
That program is called QaasWall for Windows and is free at http://sourceforge.net/projects/qaaswall-window/
Edit: QassWall is made for Windows 2003 Server (and XP) it does not work with 64-bit Windows. Some of the programs are 16-bit. Sorry about this.
Its a policy based software, and might be a good temporary solution. It filters ip adresses with more than 100 connection at default (it might be change to a lover one)

Another program for network analyses is WireShark, but its very technical.

PS. Atm i am testing Quality of Service (QoS) in Windows to get highest priority to FL CF traffic. More of this later, but looking good so far.

I would first examine disks for errors ex. with chkdsk /F from command prompt. answer Yes to restart and check disk.

Then i would try to:
- deactivate antivirus while installing - in case this work's, which Antivirus are you using ?
- deactivate firewall while installing - in case this work's, which firewall are you using ?

It's really weird with that dll - never seen it before on forum

Your installation isn't working, so i am afraid you have to reinstall (copying dll's isn't good enough)
Follow the FAQ to reinstall from http://www.swat-portal.com/php/forum/index.php?page=Faq
Important to run all programs as Administrator (right click), even Freelancers setup.exe if you decide to go from scratch.

The_Mess u Might have adv. shaders activated. Deactivate by pressing SHIFT + F12
or reinstall without adv. shaders

Oh yes, you do have Antivirus activated ?

About the Install, it is very immportant to run everything as Administrator (rightclick and Run as administrator). Do this with every program you install, even Freelancer's setup.exe

just tried UK versions of IE7+8+9 (on UK Windows) and all of them shows wrong fonts

Maybe this tread should be removed and made a ticket instead ?
It's looking like a ticket now.

None of mine IE9's works the right way, but that could be bcs I use the Danish version.
Ex. the Batmanforeveralternate font is not displayed - an alternate is used.

In Internet Explorer 9 pres F12 (developer tools) and pres ALT + 9 (Document: IE9-standards)
Now you can see the real fonts used on SWAT-Portal and it looks much better, doesn't it !
You will have to do this everytime you open IE9 - sorry for that one.
