    i am with Ben ans DW on this one. Considering people don't have just CF to do in their lives, knowing when to catch with friends is good. And there are many lazy people who will just stay off line because logging in for 3 secs to check player list is "wasted time" when you did not intended to play without your friends. I know i'm a loner and don't mind flying alone in space but i know a few people who will log-in only if they friends are around...

    Round 8 - Colossal Sprint
    = Location : Coloseum track, near Arena JH.
    = Details : Cruise Engine, 7 laps

  • Galactic Racing Championship - New Season & New Courses

    It seems Events are returning in force, so will the Galactic Racing Championship !


    Races will be held usually on weekend morning(US)/midday(EU). Exact time may vary of a few hours every week but will be announced at least 5 days prior to an event being held. I know it is early but that's the only time i can be 95% sure i am available.


    Like for the last time, there will be no official registration required, racers can join-in at any event during the Championship. Of course, the ones who start racing sooner have a greater chance of scoring the highest championship points.


    It will be a much simplified version than the one we had last year, just look how the instructions are shorter ;) :
    - No weapons allowed except against NPCs. Any ship or equipment is allowed.
    - The schedule will be much stricter than before : The time announced will be the time i give the "GO". Ypu be ready in advance or miss the race. If less than 3 racers are present, the race will be rescheduled.
    - Courses will be either of :
    === Endurance : across a few systems with required checkpoints (check your reputation with the faction where the race starts, checks and finishes).
    === Sprint : in marked courses (coloseum, dublin) with a defined number of laps.
    - Racers will be awarded points for finish as follows : 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8 , 6, 4, 2, 1. Each point gives you 1M credits also (ie : 25M for the winner). DNF gives 0 points. Championship positions 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded : 100M, 50M and 25M at the end of the Championship.


    Results will also be simpler because i dont wanna be spending hours again formatting the tables after every event. Only the first 3 leaders will be identified in the full result table and its won't be sorted by the championship position but by the championship entry.
