    What can you do, a stupid world that keeps revolving around itself. Megas - great anime got canceled probably due to extremely high ratings. The Dead Zone also got canceled. Reaper too. So much great stuff gets canceled cause it's way too good.

    Yeah it's supposed to be the darkest, grimest, most scarriest of all Stargate yet. And from what I read Atlantist got canceled cause MGM got cold feet due to some money issue with Canada. Basically they got spooked and decided to pull the plug, while Sci-Fi were practically on fire to make a 6th season. Now they're gonna shove it with some movie (which will probably be epic too) and that's it for Atlantis ;(

  • Star Wars - The Old Republic

    Comparing a few years old dead and with this, why don't we try comparing a 486 with a supercomputer ?


    This stuff's probably gonna have the best story, the best graphics, the best gameplay of the KotORs (This one's The Old Republic a.k.a. tOR ;]) heck probably even the best start menu for all I care. People who don't look forward for this game even just because it's a game should better go see a psychiatrist.

    Froggy, U600 is right. Name me 5 people who use guns as their primary offensive weapons (and I don't mean against NPC hunts in Vega) and I'll shoot myself cause I see that pretty much everyone uses missles like nuts.


    Oh and Saxon I think there already was a statement I read some time ago that each of those weapons will be more effective against different type of Class 10 shield, but I'm not sure.

    Also it's not complaining, it's a concern. Everyone will have missles available, they'll have guns available, the mod will be so uber-cool that before I start even thinking about some heavy PvP action a few months will pass due to so much content (oh and I love the Dom'Kavash neutrality/friednly thing that sounds so cool). So Huor despite what you think I doubt everyone in starfliers will go out of New York and start shooting themselves with Justice MkI.

    I remain sceptical about the CDs. You fight some guy and even with the big refire rate for the missles most people will probably keep spamming CDs like insane cause either that's what they're used to or don't think trough or half a dozen other reasons. I remain sceptical and I bet we'll see the good old CD spamming when 1.8 comes out despite your beliefs OP.

    But what about guns, care to enlighten us on that part ? Cause right now the only guns used are PPCs/CGGs/DKAs due to their range and speed I believe.

    The Ancients, a.k.a. the Alterans (must check spelling). Old guys really old lived unhappily with their buddies the Ori. Left their home galaxy just before one of them thought up of the devices called Astria porta a.k.a. (in english terminology) Stargates. Anyway they came to the milky way made the whole gate network got swept by a plague repopulated then moved on to the Pegasus galaxy. The romans if I remember correctly called them the Ancients, meaning I'm thinking about those uber-smart first form of our evolution althought by comparisson most of us are primitve yet you seem to retain a lot of their knowledge rofl :D
