Rofl I ignore them most of the time. I occasionally go to Outer Dyson Sphere and whack a couple of hundred nomads when there's nothing better to do otherwise to me they're just the next trade lane/cruise disruptors for my train or if I'm traveling somewhere. Although CF Single Player was quite challenging I've gotta admit it :D
Anyways I'd try to reinstall my whole FL + CF if the thing that you mentioned happend to me.

And I can tell you that if I see <Name> pay <cash> tax I turn around and fight the guy who wants to tax somebody. The priority shifts to the guy who's taxing some poor fellow. No one taxes in my presence and gets away with it :D.

    Pirates:
All pirates must have a pirate licence mounted on their ship. Only exception is if an ASF or CSF licence is mounted and the whole clan is known to be
    pirates.

Pirates life is a though one, they have to tax other players to earn their daily money.
They may not open fire on a player without asking for tax and receiving an answer no matter if this reply is written word or an action. If the player does
pay then the pirate can be happy. If the player does not pay the pirate may destroy him.
Pirates may not tax more than the listed amounts (see "Taxes, Fines, Bounty").
Pirates may attack police without any warning and may hire mercenaries if needed.

If a player has been taxed he may not get taxed again within the next 2 hours.

    Police:
All police must have a police licence mounted on their ship. Only exception is if an ASF or CSF licence is mounted and the whole clan is known to be police.

Police duty is to maintain law and order all over Sirius.
They may not open fire on a smuggler without informing them that they are being fined and receiving an answer no matter if this reply is written word or an
    action.
The police may scan all players for illegal goods (such as cardamine, alien artifacts or black market goods).
If the smuggler does not pay the fine the police may destroy him.
The police may fine pirates aswell or attack them without warning and hire mercenaries if needed.
Police may not fine more than the listed amounts (see "Taxes, Fines, Bounty").

And usually most of the loot gets destroyed... But there is some that survive

A player which does not wear one of the aboves licences is not allowed to do the roleplay mentioned above. All players not wearing roleplay licences are considered "Freelancers" which does not mean that a pirate will not try to tax them or that the police will not scan them for illegal goods.

I like roasted Ducks most, i found a very dangerous one lately:

That's my man Roast Duck right there oh and that duck looks like the one I snapped it's neck and started beating in a wall when I was 6.

He flew away again but he won't return this time. Crossfire lost a great pilot, Earth lost a great human being. The way live plays out is diffrent for every person exept for two events in every human being's time: Their birth and their death. They can't be cheated or escaped. People die and that's horrible for a group of individuals. This time it's Crossfire and the family and friends of Rover are the groups that suffer. He left us but not the way he deserved to. Unfourtnately we can't change that fact, we can only hope that he's in a better place right now. May he Rest in everlasting Peace and know that we won't forget him.

Well, I've seen 3 ENORMOUS inconsistencies in this intro.

1st is the: Solar System getting blown to smithereens. That didn't happend since i've been to the Solar System at least 5 times.
2nd is the: Admiral Guy who supposedly went to the Sirius sector to warn the guys about the Nomads. That I don't remember happening ANYWHERE.
And the last (3rd) but not least: The Solar System was attacked by Nomads Right ? Well how come that I go to the Solar System and I am getting attacked by DOM'KAVASH GUNBOATS ? Anyone able to explain that ? :)
