Get well soon OP, take a much needed vacation in the meantime, we'll all be here when you get back man.
-
but ORION's 230 and he can login !
Meh, what can I say... Other than Methuselah was my playmate when I was a child...
-
Depending on how fast I can acquire the needed credits, I've got a naaaaassssty surprise waiting for the Dom's come next expedition.
Sorry OP, but this is just the beginning for your "brothers" in the Inner Core, mwuahahahaha!!!
-
*AHEM*
Go to Hyperspace and take on a Dom'Kavash Mothership for a load of DK Annihilators.
SA_FORLON reports that only a mothership will attack you if you fire on it and that it's easy to kill from a distance using strafing and staying in one spot.

about half if not more of the players I see on the server have 2 RP licences... the rules don't seem to be clear to them
next time I'm on the server I'll try to make it clear to those people once and for all
Same here Spiky, while I'm out (GR)'ing, I'll keep an eye out for people doing this as well and let them know.

Greetings Dieb! Welcome to SWAT and also to Crossfire!
Sadly, your brother's situation is unfortunate, there are rules on the servers for a reason and the role-play is there to keep things interesting and ever-changing...(and keep the server from becoming boring... Shocking, I know!
)
Yes, I too have run into the issue of deactivating the mod and it screws up, making me have to delete Freelancer, the FLMM 1.3 Mod Manager, the entire mod itself and reinstall everything again.(but it's worth the hassle!
)
Sooooo... Sorry to say, if your brother isn't into dealing with rules, the role-play of the server and does not want to play singleplayer/offline, well... There isn't any other option for you both to play at the same time.
Honestly I would encourage you both to try to play together on the server, we have lots of friendly players from all over the world and many of them are willing to help you both starting out. The rules may seem a bit restrictive, but they are there to serve the server's purpose and to keep order. The role-play will allow you both to be freelancers starting out if you so choose and then you can do whatever you both want to do then, you do not have to join any clan right off the bat. However, this still means you are affected by it to some degree... If you are on the server during the right times though, you won't hardly have to worry about pirates taxing you, or mercs looking for a bounty on your heads or a cop fining you for smuggling or breaking laws. Besides, don't knock it till you've tried it, he might actually like the role-play once he's tried a role-play character he likes.. Besides Mercs, Cops, Pirates and Smugglers, there are other more "Freelancer" type role-playing characters not mentioned or officially declared on the server like the clan I'm in, the Silver Arrows. We're more like an "Order" type clan, we defend humanity from alien threats kinda like the Order do from the storyline. There is also another role-playing character I hope in the future will become more developed and accepted, like a "Miner" type character...
Anyway, you get the idea, I hope this helps and I hope your brother will reconsider his stance on the server... Take care and hope to see you guys in space!

Giggity.
You need to post this on the SA Forum -> Clan Disscussions -> Member's Background section, you can read up about some of our other clan member's backgrounds there too.

Lucky you...
Good choice Faaby, these guys really need a team mother...you make sure they clean up their ships after their patrols, you hear.
P.S. Orion, please let her know her fans are waiting for her next installment of The Faaby Show...thanks.
Silver Arrows Broadcast Network...where do I tune in?
Haha!
Will do Uncleglennie, oh yea, look on channel uh... 69... dewd.
-
You'll have to tune into the Silver Arrows Broadcast Network to find out Uncleglennie...
Faaby is our latest recruit and soon to be ensign within our fleet, we're thrilled to have her and she is doing well in her trial period.

The WWIII was like a FUBARED version of the game RISK played by all the guys in on the /b/ section of 4CHAN LOL

...And I put on my tin-foil robe and tin-foil hat...
And cast lvl 3 Sanity and turn you into a rational person.
J/king Grand, nothing but love bro, but honestly, you're beating a dead horse to the rest of us here in the U.S. dewd.
Come November, the Democraps will loose the entire House majority and Senate majorities and Obama will become a lame duck president for the next 2 years.
-
well saying it is nice now show us what you know instead
Comment ça va ORION ?
Je juste ai fait là monsieur,
quel you' ; la lecture re est maintenant mes qualifications de traduction françaises de Babelfish…
Maybe one day when we're flying in formation on the long trip back to Sirius from the Inner Core, you can give me a crash course in French.
-
Pros:
Sharing of resources, i.e. money, equipment, weapons (if well organized)
Help with collecting information and sharing information (again, if well organized)
Friendship and comradery
If you love role-playing, a clan with a role you like can enhance the experience
Wingman to help you out in far off hostile systems (like the Inner Core) or hostile situations (like with pirates, cops or mercs)Cons:
If you are a "loner" type, you will have to loose this ideal
Less freedom to go and do what you want at will (see previous con)
If you are against the concept of clans, of course this is obviously a con
This can be rather time consuming, especially the more active you are within a clan
Politics usually come into play, especially when dealing with RP situations at times -
i cant be sure but i think english is much easier to understand that your babelfish french ORION
Bahahaha, well you can't fault me for trying Sam...
I actually took french for one year in grade school maaaaannnyyy years ago, but at best I can only remember how to greet, say goodbye and ask how you are doing and give a response to how I feel LOL.
-

Still the sun will never arrive to teh other super giant red suns... as it doesn't have enough materials in it
It would be a nice small supernova at it's end...
Yep, as OP mentioned, a star at the end of it's life will either do one of two things depending on it's solar mass:
1.) If it's solar mass is 1.4 to 3 times that of our sun, it will eventually enter red giant stage, then either become a supernova with a resulting "left-over" neutron star from it's shrunken core, or possibly it's gravity will turn on itself and become a blackhole.
2. If it's solar mass is equal to or lesser than that of our sun, it will eventually expend it's hydrogen and enter red giant stage. Eventually the red giant sheds it's outer cores while the inner core shrinks creating a planetary nebula with the sun's "left-over" core becoming a white dwarf star and eventually over millenia, the white dwarf cools into a black dwarf star.
-
ps.: did i already mentioned that CF is coming with two (!) complete new sectors (! not Systems, sectors like Sirius is a sector).*cough*fixed*cough*
-
You'll notice in-game, the large majority of the stars are dwarf-stars, as listed in their description I believe... I'm not even sure with OP using the mega-sized solar system like Sol or Sovetskaya, you could make a realistic hyper-giant star big enough as described in that video, either that or it would take up about 75% of the system I suspect, you'd barely be able to fly around it and still stay out of it's chromosphere!
What's interesting though about alot of those blue giant stars and possibly the more redder giant stars is that they have a high chance of going supernova near the end of their life instead of becoming even bigger!
