    First: Welcome Back

Second: Did you install Freelancer Vanilla first and launched it? Sometimes it just pays to launch the game and then exit out.

Yeaj. pretty bad lag in there, could normally solo hunt, but magically died twice by invisible flying bullets from alien things 3 km away ?(

Sorry we couldn't finish event. There's a power cut here atm. Only just managed to write some stuff using my phone with some data :)

But great event Wanderer and hope to see some more :)

I ban DZ because not ok, iirc, DeathWing and Alextrasza were both part of the dragonflight (or something like that) and were granted un-imaginary power for their work on keeping Sargaras out.
(Note: Can't remember details perfectly, been so long :( )

Results for Friday Evening 16th December WoS Battleship Assault!
Unfortunately the event was cancelled halfway through due to Lagging and CTD's and frustrations.. :whistling:

    The participants were as follows:
    |EM|BS_Dredd
    CF1
    |DP|Flocky

    (Fallen)BOK's_BS
    |DP|Alienne
    Linux

EM's team were winning by a three nil lead before frustrations broke out with lagging and constant ctd's for some people, so the event was sadly cancelled and |EM|Dredd, CF1, and RonaldoDaVinci moved on to a Death Match where the match was won by Ronaldo :)

Congrats to RonaldoDaVinci and CF1 for the Deathmatch and sorry to all those who came on for the WoS Battleship Assault and had to go :(

About surviving Inner Core, there is a different way to survive, and that is to Hunt them down ^^ Note: This is really hard to do and it requires a lot of time and patience and skill.

Step One: Use your strafing. In your control settings, you should find some buttons that say
    STRAFE LEFT: A
    STRAFE RIGHT: D

    Strafe Up:
    Strafe Down:

Change Strafe Up to W and Strafe down to S. Now if you keep doing this, you should be able to strafe in a circle. If you can time it right, the enemy projectile's should just fly past you.

Step Two: Try do this while going on and off on your thrusters. This can be hard hitting these keys and using Tab, so it requires practise, but not too much practise :)

Step Three: Try it! Start trying to hunt the Inner Core Dom's. Note, sometimes if they fire, and wipe out your shields, it might be wise to fly out of their range, but still on your scanners, then wait for your shield to regenerate, then go back in and attack!

Optional: Sometimes doing the strafing trick and the Reverse Thrust (X) can work well against the IC Dom's.

    Hth

So, whilst the Coalition Transport 2 was being repaired at Tripoli Shipyard, I was wondering what sort of agreement the Coalition Navy, and the [RA] Clan had. I managed to sneak away from the Cargo Bay and sneaked maybe four feet away before a familiar voice chirped in my ears. "Hey! What have we here." Grrrr, I was so close to being undetected but I turned around and saw the guy. "Ah, it's the Silver Tounged Devil. For some reason, we were talking 10 feet from each other. Too far away for my likings, but ah well. We spoke about why I couldn't call, about some work I had, apprently, but I cut him off as soon as he mentioned those folders that were magically stuck to my clutches. After a few minutes of small talk, The Silver Tounged Devil asked for his second in Command, Admiral Onasi to provide me with a safe escort to Sigma-17, and some of his finest rum. I could tell Admiral Onasi didn't like this, and I wasn't a fan of Rum, I'm more of a Whiskey person, but. a drink is a drink. I thanked Silver Tounged Devil and Admiral Onasi, and soon I was boarding Admiral Onasi's secondary Vessel, a Reliant Class Carrier, modified to be a fully capable Battleship, en-route for Sigma-17. For sure, I knew I was going back home.

After two days of journeying to Planet Kurile, I thanked the generous Admiral for the ride back. "Yeah no problem." He began to walk off whereupon he turned around and said "Oh and thanks for not drinking my Rum." He gave me a small smile. "That's alright, not a fan of Rum, if the Silver Tounged Devil offered me some Whiskey, then It'd be a different story." I gave him a small wink then he walked off. Anyway, while I was at Kurile, I decided to explore the planet. I never managed to get the chance to explore. So, I rented a small safe for a week and put my folder's in there. God pray they don't get taken again. I'd probably kill the company who I rented the safe from if somebody, and explored most of the main continent on the planet. However, I came across a sort of weird phenomena. A large white light was found inside of this random hole in this secluded island of the Planet. I don't know what the hell was happening here, but it's something to check out with the rest of the clan. I managed to hail |DP|DeePSilveR who happened to be in the system at the time to take me up to the Secluded Clan Base. After we landed, I thanked the pilot. "Don't sweat it! Now, I need to find a man about a dog." He walked off. "Well that was weird." I thought. I didn't think you could buy a dog on the base? Something I must definitely look up. I began my Journey to the Clan Leader's Office. I knocked twice on his door. "Come in." Says a rough patchy voice. I walked into his office. The office was kept so clean, I was filled with so much Envy. "Listen Denne, I stumbled upon this weird white light on planet Kurile. I don't know what the hell it's about. I think I might require a second eye on this thing". He eyed me down for a second. "a'ight, let's go check this out."

For an hour we searched Kurile and observed this weird light. "What the Hell?" exclaimed Denne. "Yeah I know right?" I say. "Right we better head back. I'll inform the Science branch about this. They'd know more about this then either of us." We were halfway toward the Base, when a group of unknown origins told us to head to Planet Kurile. We followed their orders. There's no way two fighters could withstand the might of a full fleet. One Reliant Carrier, and seven Predator class Very Heavy Fighters. After we arrived at Planet Kurile, they arrived to the both of us. "Administrative Clan Leader Denne?" They ask, Denne looks back at me, then faces them. "Yes?" He asks. "You are hereby placed under arrest for entering a restricted area." Denne's eyes widened. He faces me and has a scowl on his face. "Did you plan this?" He asks. "No! Of course not." He let out a sigh. "Fine, let's go then." Right before he headed off, he told me. " There should be a datapad on my desk in my office. I need you to grab it, and look for me. When you found me, give it to me. This is important." he says. "Yessir!" I say before he is taken in the Reliant Battleship. Wow, I was looking forward to another month of relaxing.

However, already on the base, was an unknown figure. Scrounging around for the Folders of Orillion's secrets. Little did he know, it was still on the safe on Kurile. However, he found something much more valuable: Denne's Secret Datapad...

I've always wanted to know what it is like when I'm in the loosely closed cargo bay when we jump from system to system. In my experience, not very nice. Firstly we stretch which I didn't realise, then I vomited. Badly. In the jump, it seemed to be floating. "This feels weird." I say doesn't come close to what I was actually feeling. When we stopped, the projectile vomit that erupted from my gob ended up several feet in front of me. Anyway, we were in Yakutsk and was headed toward the Warp Anomaly. Why this transport was headed to Sirius Space is anyone's guess, but it is a free ticket that was handed to me personally, so I took it.

It took us a whole damn hour to get to that damned Warp Anomaly. Still clutching those folders in my hand, I hung on for dear life while we went through the Anomaly. For some unknown reason, it didn't make me upchuck at all. In fact, you could barely tell it even went through. But anyway, we arrived in this unknown system and quickly sailed through to Omicron Gamma. "Only two more systems, and I'm home." I could taste the welcome back Rum. But the trip once again, was cut short. Two [RA] Vessels were welcoming the transport. "Welcome Home, Transport 2. We will be ready to escort you to the Station, over." Said the [RA] Vessels. They must not realize the intercom droned into the Cargo Bay. "Ok [RA] Reaper, Formed on you." I sat back down in the cargo bay. "Oh damn, not back at this base again."

Back onto Topic: I think an effect should be introduced: Ship Colour Customising!
    So here's how it works..
You ever thought "Ughh this Seething Fury paint job is so bland, it's just black and brown" well now you can paint it in a colour you would like! A funky green Chimera would do well, or a Rainbow Iguana, in any way, it could look awesome. I always liked the idea of having a Liberty Dreadnought the colour features of the All Blacks Rugby team logo. It would be a great idea, but this is just a small rough outline of what I think would be cool. However you would have to land on a house planet, or a Light Dome in Inner Core

Also another idea could be human fleet encounter in the hostile regions of Inner Core. GMG Fighters with their wyrms might not be a good match against their alien enemy, but with you by their side, it might help drastically. Who wouldn't want to have their very own backup with them for support? Also there could be Liberty/Kusari/Bretonian,and Rheinland fleets in the hostile systems.

My last effect Idea is another type of faction introduced (Which I'd respect if you totally hated me for this idea) but they are a militant group like the ASF and CSF, except for the fact, that these peopel have Inner Core guns from which they hunted themselves, and they are really hard to kill, especially in groups. They could have their own system in Sirius or Altair or whatever, and they could use modern equipment that ordinary Freelancer's use, like a chimera with havoc missiles, and Nyses'o blasters, and maybe Armor Upgrades. You can dock on their base in that system, and can buy their guns from $5.000.000 a pop to $15.000.000 per gun.

Just some small case ideas... :/

Day 3 of the Reaver Infection ; Planet Colombys: Colonial Military Planet

So we touched down on Planet Colombus via the Colonial Troop Carrier. It was a pretty rough ride getting here. Everybody was talking about what happened on Planet Gortskov. The planet was taken within hours. Hundreds of thousands of Reavers slaughtering and butchering countless Civilians, scientists, and military personnel. I figured while I am on this planet, I can make my way to a nearby bar and start asking around about this stuff. I approach a hooded figure under the Callsign: PeaceKeeper. He told me everything I needed to know about this. They cannot be cured, and must be eradicated before they deal any major harm. Apparently he was part of a peace corp called "Peace". Peace featured many militant fighters, and different members, each who have their own background and skills. He gave me his card and he walked off. I had just walked off when I again, saw another Reaver attack vessel. I saw there were black laser projectiles harming this troop carrier. I saw the ship blow up. The Reavers dropped from the sky and begin to try and attack the others. It didn't go well, especially since the Peace corp were firing death rays at them. "Ok, where do I sign up?" I ask PeaceKeeper. He gave me a small grin. "We still have much work to do." he says

I think I'm cut out for this.
