  • mirror for new mod?

    im not sure the bandwidth TLR will allot for us... and i know OP does not like the idea of torrenting the file or even using some filesharing client. If that has changed, OP, then, well you know it would be an easy and efficient way to get the mod out to members immeadiately. I have unlimited 1mbit upload now. so i can send 130-170 kbps, so i can support avg 1 copy in like 1.5 hrs. With the option of creating our own torrent tracker, we can have a private high quality .torrent and those of us who have faster connections can seed it. We could just have TLR host the .torrent. I fail to remember OPs disliking to this idea, but i see nothing negative about it. Not all will have torrent clients, but they are easy to get, and if nothing else, we can distribute to many while waiting on TLR... maybe im just wasting my breath again about this, but i cant play much, so this is just a good way i can support things for my clan and the server.

    to sum it up, i think we should try a single char revolution...
    only use one char a person... it will:
    enhance roleplay; prevent those nasty surprise attacks where someone just jumps to a char in the same system, that is not fair when concerned with real life fairness, stuff like that just doesnt work. I propose we try only using 1 designated char for 2 days, just to see if CF roleplay benefitsfrom it, and if we can eliminate some of the complaints about fairness.


    ill start a new thread where people cooperating with this 2 day test can post their char name. If you have a ghost name, try to better identify the one you want to use...


    this is mine: [MW]_Blink (currently lvl 63 i think; in a Deathblade; In Dublin) (reason i specify this is due to there being a ghost name, one has an 'i' one has an 'l', heck if i know which is which. :)

    umm, its a food "triangle" people, not a "chain"!
    There is no "bottom" its like the "circle of life" you guys are just the "meat'n'taters" of giving the rest of us something to call role play. Otherwise life would be boring... wait, it is for me, since i still dont have internet at my apartment and cant really play ;)


    but when that is here (supposed to be tuesday).

    i didnt have time to read all posts, but i think:
    CFPD = pirate dept, meaning that they are no longer interested in smugglers, but almost protecting the smugglers, by only being interested in piratic factions.


    so a new food triangle, to act as a roleplay boost...


    CFPD -eats-> Priates -who-eat> Smugglers/Traders -who-just-want-to-make-more-money-> making for something really fun, and hell yeah ill be on as often as i can for some sweet action like that. :D

    9 days ago i hat 3 hdds crash.... ALL 3 nearly full... sizes: 120gb, 160gb, and 250gb. It was hell... well still is... but yeah. Then about 4-5 days ago, my 512mb minisd in my ppcphone fried, oh and my 2gb usb stick litterally blew up about 2 months ago :( im at a few hundred dollars in losses by now :P.

    i totally loved the fining of f1ing in combat that flshell did. But back in the day where there was no f1ing at all, really made things annoying. People -- "F1 in combad is not allowed
    F1 outside combat is allowed" -- Live by it, just cuz you dont get fined doesnt change the enemies you make by being a sissie about things.

    rock on, once i get moved in my apartment, i hope to have more time to kill with FL. :P
    also, is there a thread about 1.63 changes, somewhere? if not, id love to hear of the 'revolutionary' changes, sounds cool. Anyway, if not, and you dont have time, op, its all good, i technically dont have time now to read about it. :)

    ps. as i have observed this community and those whom have the greatest infulence, op, gunny, others, like the old vets, since my past issues with things here... I wish you all to know, that the problems i had with some of yalls actions and whatnot, are long gone, i cannot believe the difference. Op in MY opinion seems to be quite the uber nice guy nowadays. I once...twice, whatever the number of times, which i deemed him a you know what, i regret, while looking back i disagreed, and much of the issues hold my beliefs still, i see their irrellevance at this point, anyway, keep up the great work!


    OP: i know that you have real human emotion, and i know i at least pissed you off, if not more, i am sorry, ive said it before, but yeah, i hate to hurt, and i hurt the community some, but im sure it hurt you to see me and the like 12 others so passionate about defying your work. anyway, like i said up top, ROCK ON!
